I'm on book 6 now, although it seems Viz have messed up the rights to publish it in full book form...it's still being released in comics... Still, if you have any info I don't have here, can youe-mail me and share? ^_^
He's on the side of the Chi no Ryu (well duh! Why would he be here otherwise?) and he's actually a nice kind person. His first appearance is book 7 (Rhapsody). He helps Kotori when she dies. In the anime, they replaced him with the annoying and characterless Shogo Asagi, but I wish they hadn't!
Well, it comes to something when you leave your page for about half an hour then come back knowing a damn sight more than you did before... Where do I start? Kakyou is on a respirator because he tried to kill himself. Unsuccessfully. He was in love with Hokuto, Subaru's sister. He never actually physically met her, but she was his destined love, and they met through dreams like how he met Kotori. When Seishirou tried to kill Subaru, Hokuto made sure she died in his place. Kakyou felt her death and tried to kill himself to be with her, but he was unsuccessful. So he's in a rented hotel room in a permanent dream. I don't know, it sounds my idea of fun...I know he's lonely, but who isn't? He didn't think he was lonely until he met Kotori, that is. Before then, he was just empty. It's odd, he's only on the side of the Chi no Ryu because he wants to die and he thinks Fuma can do that for him. Well, I think by then Fuma had tried to exterminate some of the Chi no Ryu anyhow, so he's probably right... I'll wite more when I know more of him. I know I want to know more, he's one of the most enigmatic characters in it! (Along with Nataku, of course...)
He reminds me of which X Japan song? Alive, somewhat ironically. And also, for some obscure reason, when I think of him I think of the song Rose of Pain. As far as I know the lyrics have nothing to do with his situation, but it just reminds me of him...
