An estimated audience of 200 million people viewed the Miss Teen USA Pageant on television. But two girls, one in Maryland and one in Georgia, were watching with particular interest. Not so long ago, they had expected to be in the pageant.

Kristina Sisco, who gave up her crown as Miss Maryland Teen USA in June to accept a role on "As the World Turns," was cheering wildly in the final minutes. It looked as if her friend and replacement, Khosi Roy, might win it all. "I almost lost my voice," the young actress told PNB.

Ms. Roy finished the pageant as second runner-up, but Ms. Sisco was still "thrilled" for her friend. "I just wished I could be there so I could see my director's face," she said with a laugh.
