1. Clay Model	2. Covered in thin even layer of wax	3. Covered by mould made mostly of clay, strong enough to stand heat of metal. Iron rods to hold in place
4. Wax melted out to leave space between model and mould	5. Molten bronze poured in gap to fill space where wax had been	6. Mould chipped away when bronze solidified. Statue then burnished
