Soke Haisan Kaleak is a dedicated Marial Artist. Soke, like all dedicated Martial artist understands the value of the quote " each on teach one." He not only undestands it but lives it. Soke also holds a ninth (9th) degee in the Eye to Eye system of Sanuces Ryu Jiu-Jitsu and a sixth (6th) degree in the street survival art of Kumite Ryu and a fifth (5th) degree in Shotokan Karate.Along with Soke Papa-San Canty and Soke Steve Alston, Soke Kaleak created the system of Kuroshi-Do. This system ingeniously combines Kyokushinkai-kan, Shotokan-karate-do, Moo duk kwan, Judo and Aiki-jiu-jitsu is into one fighting style, thus allowing students to receive the best of the five (5) styles in each training session. With this style in hand Soke teaches youth of Brownsville Recreation Center, Bedford-Stuyvesant YMCA and the Jackie Robinson Cultural Center. Soke has taught extensively within the PAL beginning at the Howard Houses. He continues to serve PAL with Shiryo-do, Warriors Domain the name of his second school cited by Mayor David Dinkin's Atletic Program for Physical Fitness. His newest school, Simba-Kai, is an independent venture started for the Fairfield Tenant Association.
Soke's program repertoire includes Fighting Rythm Beats, demonstration of various Martial Arts ; Honor and Glory Martial Arts Classics, which brings the best competitors on the East Coast together, W.A.V.E. (Woman Against Violent Environment), which teaches busy career women street smart self defense. He has also developed and intership program which allows college students the opportunity to gain business experience by working with Soke's administrative staff.
Soke's diamond like qualities are a product of Professor Tadashi Nakamura and Sensei Eric Jame's instruction in Kyokushinkai-kan. His knowledge of Shotokan Karate-Do was bestowed on him by Professor George Cofield, Thomas Lapuppet and Soke Lusayne S. Alston. Professor Moses Powell and Professor John davis has shaped Soke's skills in Sanuces-Ryu and Kumite-Ryu Jui-Jitsu, also Professor Charles Elmore instructed Soke in the art of Aiki-Elmore-Ryu.
Soke's extraodinary weaponry talents are credited to Professor Duncan, Professor Robert "Sugar" Crosson, Soke Steve Alston and Hanshi Charles Sparrow. These providers of knowledge along with the experience of batle and hardships of Vietnam have created the humble warrior known as Soke Haisan Kaleak.
