A Warriors Quest Over Time
Southern Roots/The Beginning (1953-66)
"My early life could be discribed as that of an American Indian characterized by hunting, exploring, tracking, Indian style wrestling, improvised weaponry, and boxing." Because he grew up with companions that were older and larger than he, he developed a feel for stealthy combat - (hand to hand combat based on deception). As a Marine combat specialist, he was introduced to the stick, bayonet and knife fighting including judo, karate, handgun and assault rifle tactics.
Eastern Roots/Baptism By Fire 1966-69
As a Marine Commando, attached to the 127th Marine division, he led lead a four (4) man team through the jungles of South East Asia. It was out of this type of environment and facing both Ninja and Samurai type combatants that the Warrior in him developed. Hit three (3) times on seperate occassions awarded three (3) PURPLE HEARTS and an HONORABLE Discharge from active duty he knew his DESTINY was that the journey had to continue.
Northern Roots/The Light (1969-83)
The Marine has a moto " Once a Marine Always a Marine". After a few months back in the "States" and narrowly escaping a gun attack, he bagan to take stock of his life and decided to move to the northern part of the United States. Because of the hazards of the northern environment he began to fuse his Marine Corp, Viet NAM and earlier childhood training into a martial practice. In New Jersey, he met and studied with Shihan Ogasawara the arts of Goshin-jitsu, Karate, Ju-jits/Judo and Aiki-do. As his search continued, he met Professor Talib Muhammad a Vee-Arnis jitsu and Vee-jitsu Te instructor of Harlem New York who taught him the art of Filipino knife, stick, hand to hand combat and acrobatics.
The Development/The System
Because of his accelerated growth and development within martial arts, he began an intense field of study and research into the science of ancient oriental combat (Ping-fa, Bujitsu, Yu Chi Chuan and Gorin no sho). To further advance his quest he studied modern Special Forces, Commando, Terrorist, Anti-terrorist and Guerilla tactics. After becoming a practicioner of the art of Shinobi-no-jitsu, he decided to add to the whole realm of his martial art expertise by concentrating all that he had within to focus on the art of Bujin (experts of combat/peace).
