Fused Glass
This Page is still under construction
Fused glass is a kiln formed glass that is sometimes refered to as 'warm glass'. Each piece is designed
and placed in a kiln and then heated to to tempratures ranging between 1100 and 1700 degrees Fahrenheit.
Glass falls under the catagory of 'Hot Glass' when a glassblower works with tempratures that are often
in excess of 2000 degrees.
Catchlight Creations Art Glass Studios began producing fused glass pieces early in 2002.
We have been very please that these pieces have been very well received.
Jeff has created a series which he calls "shields". Each piece is
installed into a handmade frame which is either copper, brass or nickel plated.
The Shields are varied in size and some are opaque while others are transparent.
This collection of glass "Shields" were on display at the Guthrie Art Walk, November 2002
