Since I have joined the Army, I have horribly neglected family and friends. Primarily, this is because I have been stationed in Korea for nearly two years now. It's pretty tough to swing by and chat over a cup of coffee and some Italian desserts when you're 14 time zones away!
And calling--well, aside from the time difference that has everybody back home waking up when I'm going to bed and vice versa, there's the long distance charges. Yes, I have an internet phone. However, it has been malfunctioning lately. No dial tone. No incoming calls. No outgoing calls. I think it has something to do with the shoddy internet connection I have, too. My internet is constantly going down, so even IMming those who are awake during my waking hours is difficult.
So, the logical solution was this. As long as I am able to connect to the internet somehow, my family and friends back home can read what I post.
Sorry for how late this is in coming, but what can I say? The Army sure keeps a gal busy!
