Formed in 2000, civil d.o. is a revolutionary band with an equally revolutionary message. Coming out of the St. Louis area and consisting of permanent members johnny rokk and m.squared, civil d.o. brings a musical style that is guaranteed to open minds as well as destroy long-standing conventions. m.squared is the musical masetro of civil d.o., composing masterful beats and solid rhythms with nearly all live instruments. johnny rokk is civil d.o.'s lyrical prodigy, and he conveys his socially conscious messages with a vocal delivery that ranges from a cool and calculated flow to a rapid-fire assault. Together they compose civil d.o., and from time to time, they will call on other musicians to enlist their talents in the studio. First Wave, civil d.o.'s first EP, was released on a small experimental scale in 2001 and was nothing short of well-received.
