Friends

We have been friends for many years
And had our share of tragedy and tears

Even though we lived so far apart
You were never out of my thoughts and heart

We had our best memories that we could hold
But OH! the stories we never told

We had a special bond only God could see
Please know that you mean the world to me

You became ill and God took you away
I love and think of you everyday

Our friendship is honest and true
And so my friend I dedicate this poem to you
