Samples Of My Quartz Crystal Collection

I will share with you that my first time hunting and finding these beauties was no accident. A wonderful friend practically twisted my arm to go to the mine and investigate the possibility. I wasn't thrilled with the prospect at first, but as you can see, the encouragement paid off and I have been back again. A resounding thanks with my deepest grattitude goes out to that friend !

I had the unique pleasure of mining these crystals in Arkansas at a commercially and privately operated mine. These quartz crystals didn't look anything like what you see here when I returned home with them. They were covered in red clay, mud, rust and dirt. It is a tedious task to clean them and reveal the hidden beauty that can be found under all that dirt, but as you can see, well worth the effort for doing so.

I am currently working on cleaning some beautiful clusters which are large and small rock bases with many points of crystals on them. They require more time and effort to clean, so keep you eye out. As I have completed their cleaning, I will be photographing and also placing them here on this page.

This is only a small sampling of the collection I have amassed from my visits to the mine.
