Darth Sideous paced the room angrily, the dark side swirling around him. He had just gotten word that his plan to take over a small system had been foiled, by a Jedi. Cursing aloud he turned to face the window, where the moons were casting eerie glows on the vast expanse of buildings.
I can't believe a Jedi, an inferior being, out did me! I will have my revenge on this Jedi, they will learn not to interfere with my plans. With that he turned from the darkened window and walked out the door, stepping over the body of his dead apprentice who's hands were wrapped around his neck, his face full of shock. Imbecile, couldn't even handle a young Jedi.
Qui-Gon Jinn stood before the Jedi council. He had just returned from a mission to Eereit, whose neighboring planet Dongchan was trying to cut them off from the Republic. The mission had been successful, but hard. It had taken weeks to find out who was behind the cut off, but afterwards the Eereits' had quickly captured the leader and it was over. He had just gotten back yesterday and already the council had another mission for him.
"Important this mission is" said Yoda breaking into his thoughts. "These talks must go well or join the Republic Knossk will not, escort the two republic ambassadors you will, protect them you must"
"Yes Master" Qui-Gon replied.
"You are dismissed, may the force be with you" Mace Windu said.
Qui-Gon bowed and left the council chambers to go grab his bag that still sat packed in his quarters.
"I have found out where the Jedi is going. You and your men will be traveling to Knossk." Sideous said glaring at the burly Klyns sitting across from him.
"Sooo, what'cha want us to do to the Jedi?" Poch'u questioned, a sly grin creeping onto his face.
"Kill him." Darth Sideous replied curtly, anger edging his voice. He did little to hide his contempt for the Klyns. He had some faith in them, they had taken care of Jedi before, but something told him their mission would not be easy. It was not his concern, but he wanted the job done nonetheless.
"What we get in return?" Poch'u said rubbing his hands together.
"Ten thousand credits." Sideous answered glaring at the Klyn. Though you'll never see it...
"Hmm, sounds good. When do we leave?" Poch'u said, anxious to get the mission over with and get his money.
"Immediately. Now get out of my sight!" Sideous growled.
Poch'u and his men quickly exited the room, already planning on how to spend the credits and complete the mission. They had gone up against Jedi before, but things are always easier said than done.
The sleek silver ship came to a soft landing just as Qui-Gon entered the Temple's docking bay. He walked up to the ship as the landing ramp lowered and two rather large ambassadors came down. They were big, with bright orange eyes and long black hair that came down to their shoulders, and were dressed in the formal blue senatorial robes. These guys look like they can take care of themselves, Qui- Gon thought as he walked up to greet them.
"Ambassadors, I am Qui-Gon Jinn" Qui-Gon said bowing to the ambassadors.
"I'm Ven and this isa Sha, we're grateful for your help, we uh, fear this mission could be dangerous." Ven said glancing around at the docking bay.
"I assure you I will not let anything happen to you ambassadors" Qui-
Gon replied as they began walking towards the republic cruiser that
sat waiting for them.
