AND NOW,THE REST OF THE STORY...

ABOUT ME...I was born Alfred David Purdy, in 1929, the 2nd oldest of 6 boys, 5 of whom are still living. In 1950 I entered the U.S. Air Force, and in 1956, was married to Patricia Jo Reid, whom I had known since she was 13. We retired from the Air Force in 1970, as a Master Sergeant, with 2 small sons ages 5 and 7. In 1975 another son came along unexpectedly but was welcomed. From 1970 until 1994 I was employed by Montgomery Ward in Fayetteville Arkansas, as an appliance service tech, retiring there at the age of 65. In March 2000 I lost Pat, the result of a massive stroke. Her remains were cremated and her ashes scattered on a hilltop overlooking Beaver Lake and the White River here in the Ozarks. A wild rose marks her resting place. Sarah, Sally and I have the house to ourselves now and are managing pretty well. Part of my time is occupied with keepng the house up and trying to grow a few roses. I like Razorback football and basketball, fried catfish, homemade bread, country music, turnip greens, mexican food, roses, and pretty girls. What else in life is there............?

MY HOUSEKEEPERS

My two Poodles. We have an agreement - I don't bark at slamming car doors, and they don't try and operate my computer. Sally is Sarah's daughter, and yes, her father was black!

UPDATE: On 15 May 2002, Sarah passed away because of congestive heart failure. She was 10 years old. Rest in peace, Sarah. You were a lady, and I will miss you.
