THE PURDY FAMILY, 1976

The occasion was Mom and Dad's 50th wedding anniversary.
Beginning with the lady in the checked suit
holding the baby and going clockwise, Pat holding Joey
with me kneeling in back. In the doorway, Don and Dora,
then Paul and Rita with her head turned. Dad and Mom,
Carolyn in front of Darrell, Dale looking over HIS Carolyn's
shoulder, with Darrell's son Steve in front of her. In the
beige suit is Paula (Paul and Rita), her sister Karen
is kneeling in front. The kid with his face screwed
up is Larry (ours), then Robert (Dale and Carolyn)
and another one of ours, Jim. Kneeling in front of them,
on the left, Alan (Don and Dora), then John (Darrell and Carolyn).

Missing in the photo is Julian, with his wife Lorraine
and daughters Kathie and Judith.
Mom's close friend and good neighbor from across the street,
Ruby Thompson, was kind enough to come over and snap
the photo, allowing all of us to be in the picture.

THE PURDY FAMILY, 2000

The occasion was a grilled dinner and Worm Stomp (thats another story) hosted by Cathie. The photographer is Bridgett, a friend of Karens.

In back, from the left, Robert and wife Rhonda, Paul, Joey (always in the vicinity of a pretty girl), Tara, Paula's daughter, Cathie in white shirt, me, and Dale.

In front from the left; Carolyn with grandson Sean (Robert and Rhonda); Rita in red, in front of Paul; Karen and her daughter Cindy; Paula, with her hand on Cindy's shoulder; Darrell and his wife Carolyn; and Jim with his daughter Kori.

Missing is Don and his wife Dora, his son Alan and daughter,Susan; my son Larry ; Darrell's son Steve; Karen's son Travis; and Julian's wife Lorraine and daughter Judith, with Judith's sons Aslin and Sean.

Since the 1976 photo, Mom and Dad are gone, as is Julian. Darrell's son John was lost in a tragic accident, and I lost Pat in March of 2000.
