Strange dreams

 

I'm having strange dreams,

Paranoid, random scenes,

Awaken screaming, soaked sweat,

Tremble, shaking, pounding head,

Smothered by impenetrable darkness,

Claustrophobic terror,

Leaves it's mark 'pon my twisted psyche,

Contorted subconscious,

Snatches images away,

Leaves scarred emotions unleashed,

I am desperate,

Fear and I are intimate,

She rapes my mind,

Running scared, sense lay wounded,

Upon a field of raw emotion,

Rationalization is useless,

No memory of the battle,

Renders defenses zero,

The dream is gone,

The terror lingers,

Gnaws at my soul,

I'm gone in fifth gear,

Driving right out of my mind.
