District 9 General Meeting October

Roll call - 26 members present + 3 guests
Meeting was called to order at 7:15pm
Minutes read by Keith DuPriest. Motion made, seconded,
and carried, to accept the minutes as read
Treasurer's report read by Waylon Brown. Motion MS&C
to accept Treasurer's report as read
Old Business: Reviewed all aspects of our recent Rally,
and changes to make for next year. Reports were given by
those participating in the recent March of Dimes Run
New Business: discussed our upcoming Toys for
Tots Run (note: schedule changed to Sunday
November 19th). Russell and Dale showed design we will be
using for event give-away t-shirts, which we will be
giving to the first 60 participants. Approved using
sponsors for promoting the event and the Magnolia Police
Explorers as distributors of gifts gathered. Discussed
possible locations for start/end of run, refreshments to
be served. Jim Barnar suggested we have a Membership
Drive, as well as possibly a Xmas party. Will discuss
these in more detail after the Toy Run. Talked about the
upcoming District 10 Memorial Run, set for October 21st.
Approved making some sort of Xmas donation to our
landlords.
Accepted new membership applications at the meeting from
Tillman Hunter and Dickie "Moose" Morris.
Additional guest was Chuck Hanson.
