Old Business: Discussed State ABATE Board Meeting -
although our Board Reps were reportedly all ill and
therefore we had no representation at the meeting, our
schedule was forwarded ahead to the event calendar
planning committee. Reports were given about the District
1 Bike Show/Swap Meet in Little Rock, as well as our
recent "work days" at the clubhouse.
New Business: New Officers for 2001 were "sworn in"
as result of election ballots tallied. Also, a survey
analysis was briefly discussed, with findings from the
questionnaire that had been sent out with the ballots.
Copies of analysis were handed out. Talked about a number
of upcoming events, including the Easy Riders Touring
Bike Show (Memphis); Swamp Riders "Lost Brothers Run";
Jefferson, Texas Mardi Gras/Parade; Shreveport, La. Mardi
Gras parties; District 14 Bike Show; 13 Rebels/ABATE
Districts 4 & 8 Bike Show/Swap Meet; Districts 4
& 8s "Main Event" rally at Lake
Leatherwood, as well as the Republic of Texas Biker Rally
in Austin. A weekend group ride/trout fishing trip to
Gastons Resort on the White River (Mountain Home,
Ark.) was also discussed to determine interest.
