The Galbraith Family

This headstone inscriptions are the only pieces of information that I have to date on the Galbraith family. I will be doing some looking at the 1910 and 1920 census records, etc. to see if I can locate a family by this name in Baxter or Fulton County, Arkansas.

Austin Galbraith Headstone

The full inscription reads:

AUSTIN S. GALBRAITH
JULY 18, 1908
JUNE 11, 1930

This grey granite stone measures X X . It has a decorative tulip-like floral design with greenery on each side of the marker and a decorative border around the inscription. The area inside the inscription area is set off with a different shade of grey.

It is located in a section far forward of the cemetery and slightly to the right. It is located between the graves of Herbie Dar Leach (on the left) and Aubrey Galbraith on the right - when facing the entrance.

Aubrey Galbraith Headstone

The full inscription reads:

AUBREY

SON OF
A.S. & M.E.
GALBRAITH
MAR. 5, 1904
SEPT. 4, 1906
Our darling

This marker measures X X . It is the only grave in Fluty Cemetery with a 'surround'. The name 'AUBREY' is on the slanted top of the marker and can be missed if you aren't looking for it. This stone has a strange crystal-like texture.

It is located in a section far forward of the cemetery and slightly to the right. It is located between the graves of Aubrey S. Galbraith on the left (when facing the entrance) and Croppers on the right (a fair distance away). I am guessing that these two Galbraiths are brothers.
