The Cropper Family - Part I

I will be adding Cropper Family information as I receive it.

Clay Cropper homesteaded in the Fluty area in 1882 and appears on the Jim Strider abstract.

The full inscription reads:

. CROPPER
DOVIE . CLAY S.
1868 - 1954 . 1869 - 1953

This large double pink granite headstone measures "H x "W x "D.

It is located in a section far forward of the cemetery and on the very far left side. Graves nearby include other members of the Cropper family and fieldstone marked graves.

Euva Estle Cropper Headstone

The full inscription reads:

EUVA ESTLE
DAU. OF C.C. & DOVIE CROPPER
JAN. 30, 1895 - JAN. 21, 1919
A FAITHFUL CHRISTIAN

I am uncertain is 'Estle' is a middle or married name. Can anyone shed light on this?

This small grey granite headstone measures "H x "W x "D.

It is located in a section far forward of the cemetery and on the very far left side. Graves nearby include other members of the Cropper family and fieldstone marked graves. If facing these graves (and the entrance to the cemetery), Euva's grave is between Nobia Virginia Cropper (on the left) and Clay S and Dovie Cropper (on the right).

The full inscription reads:

ASLEEP IN JESUS

This small grey granite headstone measures "H x "W x "D.

It is located in a section far forward of the cemetery and on the very far left side. Graves nearby include other members of the Cropper family and fieldstone marked graves. If facing these graves (and the entrance to the cemetery), Nobia's grave is between Florence Alline Cropper (on the left) and Euva Estle Cropper (on the right).
