Another hot day...I was about to leave with one of my son-in-laws for a shopping trip for football cards, when my phone rang.

It was my daughter asking if her husband was still at my house. I said yes, and ask her why she was sreaming and crying.

She replied by telling me that her house was on fire!

I threw the phone... and yelled for her husband, jumping into his car and driving to their house that was five blocks away.

Was this a nightmare! Within a couple of blocks from her home I could see and smell the smoke.

She had two small children, one of them less than a year old, and the other one four years old. Two of my children had stayed the night at their house, ages four and seven.

The first thing I saw as I pulled up in front of the burning house was the four children.

~Luck Again~

We stood in the front yard and watched her house burn, no insurance.

No lives were lost in this fire. Again we were blessed!

They had to stay at my house for a few months until they could get some stuff together and now they are buying a house and have insurance.

Yes...and by the way, my seven year old son was the Hero here. He removed his younger sister and his four year old nephew from the burning house, and ran back into the room to tell his older sister to grab her baby and run because the house was on fire! The fire had started in an attached storage room and had then spread to the main part of the house.

Thumbs Up...Chris!
