FWA Monday Night Madness (2/22/99)

[The screen turns black...a faint buzing in 
the background. Slowly the darkness swirls 
and three letters written in blood 
red...F_W_A! All of a sudden FWA Theme Music begins 
playing as the camera goes to an above shot 
of the Arco Arena in Sacramento, CA!! The 
arena is jam packed with FWA fans, all 
screaming and enjoying the pyrotechnics and 
lasers which errupt all over the building. 
The camera slowly moves closer and closer 
until finally reaching Gary Dawson and Jim 
Wallace at the broadcast booth.] 

GD: Welcome everyone to Monday Night 
Madness!! Tonight we have 6 matches to bring 
you, including the final 4 Second Round 
matches! 

JW: But that is not all! Tonight the US Title 
will be on the line tonight! Lance Manyon 
will face Kid Ego! But it won't take place in 
the arena. Only The Prez knows where that 
match will take place! We will find out later 
tonight!

GD: Glad to have you back Jim

JW: I am sure you all. And I know these 
stupid fans are too!

GD: Lets go to the action!

#1 IM: The Iceman .v. Steve Austin

GD: Austin starts off early and attacks 
Iceman. Austin pounds and stomps on Iceman in 
the corner. Clothesline by Austin. Slam and 
an elbow drop by Austin. Leg Drop by Austin. 
Suplex by Austin. Neckbreaker by Austin. Stun 
Gun by Austin. Lou Thez Press by Austin. 
Austin goes to the second rope and nails 
Iceman with an elbow. 

JW: Austin is in control here.

GD: Austin goes for the Stunner, but Iceman 
gets out of it. Kick and a DDT by Iceman. 
Slam and a Elbow Drop by Iceman. German 
Suplex by Iceman. Samoan Drop by Iceman. Leg 
Drop by Iceman. Powerbomb by Iceman. Ice Age 
by Iceman!! 1, 2, 3!! Iceman wins!

JW: Iceman comes back and pulls out the win!

#2 Mr. Monday Night .v. Flash Flanagan
(World Championship Tounry/Second Round)

GD: Flash and MMN squaring off now. Top wrist 
lock by Flash. Reversal by MMN into 
another top wrist lock. Flash uses his 
leverage to flip MMN onto his back. Flash 
drops his head onto Mr. Monday Night's 
stomach. Both competitors get to their feet. 
MMN with a chop followed closly by another. 
Flash is dazed as MMN bounces off the rope 
and slams full force into Flanigan. MMN now 
with a combination of lefts and rights. Flash 
is down. MMN with a moonsault. He pulls Flash 
to his feet. Try for a clothesline, but 
Flash ducks and kicks MMN in the stomach. 
He sets up MMN for a Flash in the Pan, but 
MMN low blows Flanagan. Monday Night Special 
by MMN! 1, 2, 3!! MMN wins!!

JW: Good match, as MMN advances!

#3 Big Poppa Pimp .v. Diamond Dogg
(World Championship Tounry/Second Round)


GD: This match begins with both competitors 
in the ring jawing at each other. They start 
to exchange blows, and Pimp gets backed up a 
few feet. Diamond Dogg drop kicks him. 
Pimp quickly gets up and runs his shoulder 
into Dogg's chest. Dogg is on the ground, and 
Big Poppa climbs to the top rope. He leaps 
head first, and connects with Dogg's chest. 
He covers, but Dogg kicks out at one and a 
half. Diamond Dogg kicks BPP in the knee, 
and DDT's him into the mat. Dogg bounces off 
the ropes and drops an elbow onto Pimp's 
head. Pimp stands up, and shakes his head a 
little. Dogg is behind him and is siezing him 
up for the Million $ Dream. Dogg walks toward 
him, and Pimp turns around and grabs him by 
the back of the legs, picks him up, and 
delivers a spine buster! Dogg gets up and 
Pimp superkicks him in the corner! 1, 2, 3!! 
Pimp wins!!

JW: Pimp will go on to face Kid Ego on 
Wednesday in the Quarterfinals!

#4 Paladin .v. Reptile 
(World Championship Tounry/Second Round)

GD: This is our first of two matches between 
stablemates tonight!

JW: Throw the rules out and lets have a 
fight!

GD: Paladin and Reptile lock up as the bell 
rings, and Paladin ends up on his back. 
Reptile stomps on his stomach, and one to the 
head for good measure. Paladin gets to his 
feet, only to be knocked to the outside by 
the arm of Reptile. Reptile follows him 
outside. Paladin slams Reptile's face into 
the steel steps, and rams his shoulder into 
the ring post. Reptile takes out Paladin's 
leg and drops an elbow on his knee. Both 
competitors scramble back into the ring under 
the count. They exchange lefts and rights. 
Reptile drops to a knee. Paladin sets him up 
for the Salavation, but Reptile blocks it! 
Death Valley Driver by Reptile! He covers 
Paladin. 1....2.......3!! Reptile wins!!

JW: Great match, as Reptile will face Jayzon 
Sanders Wednesday in the Quarterfinals!

#5 Puppetmaster .v. Beelbezub
(World Championship Tounry/Second Round)

GD: This is our second match between 
stablemates. They have meet before, but now 
they are friends. So this should be good.

JW: I just want to see these two good guys 
tear each other apart!

GD: They lock up. Headlock and a Shoulder 
Block by Puppetmaster. Armbar by 
Puppetmaster. Punch by Beelbezub. Beelbezub 
uses an Armbar of his own. Headlock by 
Beelbezub. Puppetmaster turns it into a Back 
Suplex. Clothesline by Puppetmaster. 
Puppetmaster sends Beelbezub into the ropes 
and connects with a Big Boot. Butterfly 
Suplex by Puppetmaster. Short-Arm Choke Slam 
by Puppetmaster. Puppetmaster goes up top. He 
waits for Beelbezub to get up and nails him 
with a Double Axehandle. Vertical Suplex by 
Puppetmaster.

JW: Puppetmaster has taken control of this 
match.

GD: Backbreaker by Puppetmaster. Puppetmaster 
tries to apply a Boston Crab, but Beelbezub 
grabs the ropes. Side Walk Slam by 
Puppetmaster. Puppetmaster slings Beelbezub 
into the ropes, but Beelbezub counters with a 
sunset flip. 1, kickout! Puppetmaster runs at 
him. Beelbezub ducks and clotheslines 
Puppetmaster. Suplex by Beelbezub. Leg Drop 
by Beelbezub. Beelbezub puts Puppetmaster in 
the corner and begins to stomp on him. He 
slings Puppetmaster into the corner. 
Beelbezub follows in, but Puppetmaster hits 
him with a Boot. He charges at Beelbezub, but 
Beelbezub knees Puppetmaster. Piledriver by 
Beelbezub. Beelbezub grabs Puppetmaster and 
uses a Tornado DDT on him.

JW: This match has gone back and forth.

GD: Beelbezub cover for a 1, 2, Kickout! 
Double Arm DDT by Beelbezub. Beelbezub goes 
up top and uses a Moonsault on him. Beelbezub 
goes back up top and connects with a Flying 
Clothesline. Beelbezub goes back to the top. 
He waits for Puppetmaster. He goes for a 
Flying Drop Kick, but Pupetmaster moves out 
of the way!

JW: That was a mistake that may cost 
Beelbezub.

GD: Puppetmaster applies a Boston Crab to 
Beelbezub. Beelbezub crawls and reaches the 
ropes! Puppetmaster throws Beelbezub into the 
ropes and uses a Tilt-O-Whirl Backbreaker by 
on Beelbezub. Running Power Slam by 
Puppetmaster. Puppetmaster sets up Beelbezub 
for The Carver. Beelbezub backdrops 
Puppetmaster. Mandible Claw by Beelbezub. 
Wait kick by Puppetmaster. Puppetmaster picks 
Beelbezub up for The Carver. Beelbezub fights 
and reverses it into a rollup. 1, 2, 
Puppetmaster rolls the other way and rolls up 
Beelbezub! 1, 2, 3!!! Puppetmaster wins!!

JW: Great match! Even between two good guys! 
Puppetmaster will face Mr. Monday Night on 
Wednesday!!

#6 Lance Manyon .v. Kid Ego
(US Championship)

GD: Well we are told that we are going live 
to the site of the US Title Match. We are 
outside. Wait a minute, there is Kid Ego and 
Lance Manyon on a beach!! We are going to 
have a California Beach Brawl!!

JW: YEAH! I Love it!! Make sense, since we 
are in Sacramento, CA!! This should be 
GREAT!!

GD: Here we go. Both men begin to fight it 
out. They have some different footing with 
this sand! Ego kicks Manyon. He slams him in 
the sand. He goes for an elbow drop, but 
Manyon moves. Manyon throws sand in the eyes 
of Ego! Bulldog by Manyon. Backbreaker by 
Manyon. Knife Edge Chops by Manyon. 
Clothesline by Manyon. Manyon throws Ego into 
the Pacific Ocean!

JW: I LOVE THIS!! HAHAHA!!

GD: Manyon is trying to drown Ego! Wait Ego 
low blows Manyon! Punches by Ego. Heart Kick 
by Ego. Ego goes over and grabs a beach 
umbrella. He nails Manyon with the umbrella! 
DDT by Ego. Super Kick by Ego. Ego applies a 
Figure-Four.

JW: There are no ropes to save Manyon!

GD: Wait Manyon rolls over and reverses the 
move! Ego lets go. Ego gets up and starts 
stomping on Manyon. Suplex by Ego. Leg Drop 
by Ego. Powerbomb by Ego. Ego throws Manyon 
across the beach. Wait Manyon stumbles next 
to a lifeguard tower! Ego follows him. Kicks 
by Manyon. Clothesline by Manyon. Both men 
are down! Manyon gets up and Superkicks Ego! 
Figure-Four by Manyon. 

JW: Ego is in trouble now!

GD: Manyon releases the hold after a couple 
of minutes. He begins to stomp away at Ego. 
Manyon rams Ego into the tower. He grabs a 
life perserver! He starts beating Ego with 
it!

JW: HAHA!! Manyon is GREAT!

GD: DDT by Manyon. Manyon climbs the tower. 
He jumps off and hits Ego with an Elbow Drop 
from the tower! Manyon covers Ego for a 1, 2, 
kickout! Manyon puts Ego on the top of the 
tower. Manyon begins to climb up. Manyon sets 
up Ego for a Powerbomb, but Ego backdrops 
Manyon off of the tower to the sand!! Ego 
jumps off and connects with a big splash! 
What is this now! Ego has grabbed 4 nearby 
umbrellas! He starts putting each umbrella 
into ground to resemble a square.

JW: What the HELL is Ego doing!

GD: Wait a minute! Could he going for the Ego 
Check and using the umbrellas as ring ropes!

JW: I guess Ego is smart too!

GD: Ego picks up Manyon for the Ego Check. He 
bounces off one umbrella, off the second one, 
off the third one, AND Ego goes to bounce 
Manyon off the fourth one, but he loses his 
footing and Manyon falls on Ego! 1, 2, 
KICKOUT!!

JW: That was close!

GD: Ego is up. Manyon struggles to get up. 
Inside Cradle by Ego! 1, 2, Manyon rolls Ego 
up! 1, 2, KICKOUT! Both men get up at the 
same time and Manyon goes for a Super Kick, 
but Ego ducks and Manyon lands on Ego's 
shoulders. Ego raises up with Manyon on his 
shoulders. Manyon pushes off the tower and 
uses a Victory Roll on Ego! 1, 2, 3! Manyon 
wins!!

JW: GREAT MATCH!! Both men fought their 
hearts out!

GD: We are out of time!! We will see you 
Wednesday for all 4 Quarterfinal matches!!
