FWA Friday Night Rampage (1/22/99)

[A screen pops up with the letters FNR flashing in the background. Then an explosion happens and we are taken into the Civic Center in Peoria, IL. We see Gary Dawson at the broadcast table.]

GD: Welcome everyone to Friday Night Rampage!! Tonight we have 11 matches with 4 titles on the line!! We have a great line-up, capping things off with a Mr. Monday Night/Tanaka World Title match!! Lets go to the action!!

1. Loser Leaves Match- MMI: Owen Hart vs. The Franchise

GD: Hart started off early. A lot of moves were exchanged by both men. Syxx Pac ran to the ring during the middle of the match, but Super Fly stopped him. Owen applied the Sharpeshooter to Franchise, but Franchise reaches the ropes. Hart went to pick up Franchise, but Franchise kicked Hart and used a DDT on him! 1, 2, 3!! Franchise wins!!!

2. Loser Leaves Match- Smoothieking vs. Taz

GD: Smoothieking was all over Taz from the start. Taz applied the Tazmission to Smoothie, but Smoothie grabbed the ropes. Knee by Smoothie. Smoothie uses a Power Bomb on Taz. Rollup by Smoothie! 1, 2, 3!! Smoothieking wins!!

3. The Godfather vs. Bossalini

GD: In the closing minutes of the match, Bossalini used a Frog Splash on Godfather. Bossalini goes back to the top and goes for a Pink Slip, but Godfather moves. The Rub Out by Godfather!! 1, 2, 3!! Godfather wins!!

4. Barbwire/Baseball on a Pole Match- HSI: Flash Flanagan vs. Super Fly

GD: Both men bashed each other into the barbwire during the match! Fly used a DDT on Flanagan. Fly started to climb the pole, but Flanagan got up. Top Rope Power Bomb by Flanagan. Flanagan goes up top and nails Fly with a Frog Splash. Flash climbs the pole and grabs the baseball bat wrapped in barbwire. He nails Fly with the bat!! Flash in the Pan by Flanagan on Fly!! 1, 2, 3!! Flash wins!!

5. MP: Lucifer vs. IM: Gunslinger

GD: Both men fought a good match. Tombstone by Lucifer. Lucifer goes for a Choke Slam, but Gunslinger kicks Lucifer. D-Tonic by Gunslinger! Lucifer rolls to the outside. Gunslinger goes after him. Lucifer reverses a irish whip and sends Gunslinger into the guardrail! Choke Slam on the floor by Lucifer! Lucifer gets up and rolls in the ring! Gunslinger is counted out! Lucifer wins by Countout!!

6. DX: Shawn Michaels vs. IM: Sandman

GD: This was a fight from the start. This match won't last long. DDT by Sandman. Sandman goes for The Dreamer, but gets out of it. Clothesline by Michaels. Michaels goes for the Sweet Chin Music, but Sandman ducks. Wait, Michaels jumps on Sandman. Victory Roll by Michaels!! 1, 2, 3!!! Michaels wins!! Wait, here comes Flash Flanagan from the crowd and here comes Ric Money, Diamond Dogg, and Cyrus The Virus!!! Money is directing traffic. Sandman, Dogg, Virus, and Flash pummle on Michaels. Threee different stables are in there beating up Michaels!! Money is not attacking Michaels but he telling the others what to do. Flash grabs four chairs. Dogg, Cyrus, Sandman, and Flash takes turns beating on Michaels with the chairs!! Backstage we see Rock, Oblivion, and Devil blocking the DX locker room!! Here comes some officials! They have done their damage. Michaels has been taken to the hospital!!

7. TTI: Al Coholic vs. MG: Cyrus The Virus

GD: They fight it out. Clothesline by Virus. Piledriver by Virus. Virus slams Al. Virus goes for a Leg Drop, but Al moves. Suplex by Al. Al goes to the top and does a splash on Virus. DDT by Al. Al puts Virus on the top rope. Virus fights back. Virus goes for a Top Rope Jackknife, but Al reverses it into a Top Rope Hurricanrana! Al puts Virsu back on top. Last Call by Al!! 1, 2, 3!! Al wins!!

8. Hardcore Championship/Cage/Barbwire Match- TTI: Big Poppa Pimp vs. IM: Smack Daddy

GD: Gunslinger is at ringside for this match. The cage bars were wrapped in barbwire. You had to climb up and out of the cage to win. Above the cage there was a baseball bat wrapped in barbwire. They are both in and they punch away at each other. Both men bash each other's heads into the barbwire steel! Both men were bleeding after a few minutes of that! DDT by Smack Daddy. Side Walk Slam by Daddy. Suplex by Daddy. Leg Drop by Daddy. Daddy climbs the cage. Pimp gets up and follows. Daddy slams Pimp into the steel! Daddy goes for the Smack Down, but Pimp pounds on Daddy. Pimp then uses the bars to reverse the move into a Piledriver from the cage!!! Pimp climbs the cage and grabs the baseball bat. Daddy starts to get up. Pimp stand on top of the cage and jumps off and nails Daddy with the bat!!! Daddy is out!! Pimp climbs up and out of the cage! Pimp wins!!

9. Lightweight Championship- Tommy Taylor vs. DX: Jayzon Sanders

GD: This was a fast-pace match. Drop Kick by Taylor. Slam by Taylor. Taylor goes up top and uses a Splash on Sanders. German Suplex by Taylor. Power Bomb by Taylor. Taylor goes for a That's Tremendus, but Sanders slides behind Taylor. Sanders spins Taylor around and uses the Prime Time on Taylor!! 1, 2, 3!! Sanders in the NEW Lightweight Champion!!

10. U.S. Championship/Triple Threat/Cage/Ladder Match- Kid Ego vs. The Shocker vs. TTI: Dark Angel

GD: All three me are in the cage and the ladder is in the middle of the ring. The U.S. Title is hung above the ring. Here we go. Ego and Shocker are fighting in the corner. Angel is just watching. Angel starts to climb the ladder, but Ego and Shocker stop him. Now all three are fighting. Double Clothesline by Ego. Suplex by Ego on Angel. Kick and a Piledriver by Shocker on Ego. Belly-to-Belly Suplex by Shocker on Ego. Angel nails Shocker from behind. DDT by Angel on Shocker. Power Bomb by Angel on Ego. Angel folds up the ladder. He drops it across Shocker. The Eruption by Angel on Shocker on the ladder!! Ego Check by Ego on Shocker. Angel clotheslines Ego into the cage. Angel sets the ladder up. He starts to climb the ladder, but Ego grabs his foot. Angel falls on top of Ego and then the ladder falls on both of them! All three are down. After awhile Shocker starts to climb the cage. Ego gets up and picks Angel. Ego goes for the Ego Check, but Ego used too much ropes and Angel bounced over Ego into a DDT!! Angel got up and pushes the ladder on Shocker against the cage!! Shocker falls to the mat! Angel grabs the ladder and stands inside the ladder. Ego gets up and dropkicks the ladder, which closes the ladder on Angel, who was between both sides of the ladder. Angel is grabbing his chest. Ego sets the ladder up and grabs the belt!! Ego wins!! Shocker and Angel ae still down! Ego walks out of the cage. The rest of TTI help Angel out, and Bossalini helps Shocker out.

11. World Championship- TTI: Mr. Monday Night vs. DX: Tanaka

GD: They lock up. Headlock and a Shoulder Block by MMN. Russian Leg Sweep by MMN. Hurricanrana by MMN. Spinning Heel Kick by MMN. Leg Drop by MMN. MMN goes to the top rope. He goes for a Splash, but Tanaka moves. DDT by Tanaka. Northern Lights Suplex by Tanaka. Samoan Slam by Tanaka. Scopion Death Lock by Tanaka. Tanaka has it locked on, but MMN is too close to the ropes. Hurricanrana by Tanaka. Tanaka goes up top and uses a Missile Drop Kick on MMN. Slam by Tanaka. Tanaka goes to the top rope. He goes for The Flying Feather, but MMN moves out of the way. DDT by MMN. MMN goes to the top rope. Missile Drop Kick by MMN. MMN puts Tanaka on the top rope. What the Hell! Here comes a man dressed in all black with a black mask on. Wait, here comes Sander! Who knows who the masked man was going to help, but Sanders wanted to stop anybody from interfering. MMN was distracted by that, and Tanaka pushed MMN to the mat. The Flying Feather by Tanaka!! Cover for a 1, 2, 3!! No, No, Wait!! MMN foot is on the ropes. His foot is on the ropes! The ref did not count 3! Tanaka can't believe it. Tanaka goes to pick MMN. Wait, Monday Night Special by MMN! Cover for a 1, 2, 3!! Mr. Monday Night wins!! He nailed Tanaka with that Heart Punch out of no-where! What a match! We are out of time! I will see you Monday!!
