Visions of Springtime

My eyes scan the emotion to cause my heart to be light around Valentine's Day

As l watch people searching for that gift to show love is in the air and here to stay

And about this time the weather starts to ease and the sun lingers more enhancing our dreams

As March brings soft rain and brisk winds to blow away remnants of wintery things

A new season begins from buds of new growth casting colors of rainbows drifting down streams

Watching slowly at first to insure that winters really gone, listening to a new song

from the breeze as it strokes raindrops that sings

Then Easter arrives and folks change their lives, with new outfits

of bright colors to style

As gardens are planted, flowers burst in full bloom and mother

nature again spreads her smile

Outdoor life has begun as we baste in the sun and small creatures run rampant in dance

Chasing each other around in much haste, in troths of an early romance

I watch all these things, through visions of spring

Rejoicing at what this new season, is surely to bring

Good times are ahead with friends, that show that they care

For springtime makes us all happy, ready and willing to share

The joy and love of togetherness as solid as the circle of a ring

Caressed from the sweet sounds of nature and birds as they sing

So open your eyes and gaze at the new season of wonders, they

are not for just me

They have been given from nature, for you to enjoy and all

the world to see
