When the candles of age were meager and few

Knowledge of love only burned inside, I found you

With open eyes, I knew you were too young for me then

But with sunlight beaming upon your face, my resolve was thin

You smiled and my heart caved, crumbled at your feet

From that moment in time, I walked to the sound of a new beat

We flirted with caution, danger pounding at love's door

Seeing glimmer in you eyes, I didn't care, I only needed more

Crusading through our feelings, and the shock of others, we survived

Seemingly through years of persistence, many ups and downs love thrived

The moments we shared, learning what we thought love meant

Kept us coming back for more, so the hours were all well spent

Then shocking our worlds, we bonded in marriage at such a young age

But our destiny continued, our book of life wrote a new page

My love for you shined, deep under stones in a pile of rubble

And from your touch, we molded a castle, strong and free of trouble

I still see the sun shining in your eyes, even when we walked through fire

My life with you is a dream shared, still filled with desire

Burning flames of love from a bed of embers glowing bright

Bonding us inside, embracing our hearts strong in power and might

Lifting our souls soaring high, secured on the wings of a dove

As you are now, as you were then, my one and only puppy love

Always and forever, God has made you the Love of my Life
