Have you ever seen the number strings they dangle from their
trees on certain holidays?  They are said to be the same strings
they use to pull their children from the womb.  The same strings
they use to strangle their enemies.  The same strings they use as
leashes for their pets.  The same strings they use to measure
length for furniture or coffins.  The same strings they use
to calculate the weight of crops and to count the value of wealth.
	Have you ever seen them pull these strings?  They have
pulled them on me.  At night, before sleeping, I sometimes hear them
counting their number strings.  They trail on forever into the night.
