William I and Barbara Semar Pyeatt
William Irvin Pyeatt was born in July 27, 1891 (or 1888) in Missouri (likely Shannon, Washington or Carter County) to Mikel A and Rosetta Thurmond Pyeatt. He died June 28, 1968 (buried in Bonne Terre at the St Francois Memorial Park Cemetery). 'Irvin Pyeatt of Frank Clay, Iron County, Missouri' was married first in Iron County, Missouri, April 10, 1920, (by Robert Rasche pg 389) to Barbara Ellen Semar 'of St. Francois County, Missouri' who was the daughter of Edward Semar and Mary Ann Richards of Potosi, Washington County, Missouri.
Irvin and Barbara had two known sons:
- Harry or Harvey O'Reilly Pyeatt (served in WWII) b: 1921 d: July 5, 1948 (died in a lead mining accident; buried Bonne Terre at the St Francois Memorial Park Cemetery) m: Winnifred Smith (still living

- Carr Edward Pyeatt b: b 7 Oct 1922 d: 6 Feb 1999 in Warren Co, MO (served in WWII) (no further information)
Irvin was still with his parents on the 1920 census of Randolph Township, St. Francois County, MO, as follows:
- Pyeatt, Mike D. (Head) age 55 / married
- Pyeatt, Etta (Wife) age 45 / married
- Pyeatt, Irven (Son) age 30 / single
- Pyeatt, Valvie (Son) age 17 / single
- Pyeatt, Bulah (Daughter) age 15 / single
- Pyeatt, Katie (Daughter) age 12 / single
- Pyeatt, Gertrude (Daughter) age 10 / single
- Pyeatt, Irene (Daughter) age 7 / single
- Link, James (Boarder) age 65 / widower (this family enumerated #413 pg 361 ED 98 Ward 3)
By the 1930 census, Ervin and family appeared as follows on the Randolph (Dist 18) St. Francois County, Missouri:
- Pyeatt, Ervin age 38 born WY / wm / Married (at age 18) / father/mother born MO / miner - lead mines
- Pyeatt, Barbara (wife) age 28 born MO / wf / Married (at age 18) / father/mother born MO
- Pyeatt, Harvey (son) age 8 born MO / wm / Single / father/mother born MO (is this right?)
- Pyeatt, Edward (son) age 7 born MO / wm / Single / father/mother born MO (is this right?)
This family was enumerated #237/232. Neighbors include #238 Edward & Mary Semar).
After the death of Barbara, Irvin married a Linnie/Lennie ?. We have no further information on this family. However, thanks to Barbara Serini, I do have copies of some handsome photos of Irvin and his sons.
