This is Bill & Maxine's Java Help page. With these Java pages you can have Java Script on your WebTV or computer site without knowing the first thing about Java Script. We don't teach Java, we just show you how to have Java Script pages without any Java knowledge and without the hassle of typing in huge Java Script programs.
WEBTV'ers, follow our instructions carefully or these Java programs will not function for you! Computer users can download these programs and upload them to their sites.
FIRST STEP: Webtv'ers must go to and save the STAR BOULEVARD transload site into their saved or favorites files. After that you will asign this file to one of your "F1 thru F7" keys.
STEP 2: You must know the correct information to fill in on the Star Boulevard site. Here is that info. Write it down so it will be available when you need it! When you get to the Star Boulevard page you will find a form. The First line of the form will contain the URL address of the last page you were on. It will automatically be inserted by the transloader. Just below this line, you will see a small Tear Drop. Click on this and the second line of the form will fill in.
STEP 3: The third line of the form will ask if you wish to rename the file you are tranloading. You can leave this blank because you can always change the name of the file in your file manager.
STEP 4: The fourth line of the form will ask you for the Target FTP Server. If you have a site at angelfire this will go in as follows: ftp.angelfire.com
STEP 5: The fifth line of the form will ask you for the Target Account Name. This will go in as follows: /ar/password (replace this with your addy)
STEP 6: The sixth line of the form will ask you for the Target Account Password. This will go in as follows: ***** (put your own account password here)
STEP 7: The seventh and final line of the form will ask you for the Upload Directory. This will go in as follows: leave blank
So, the whole thing will look like this:
Target FTP Server....ftp.angelfire.com
Target Account Name../ar/password
Target Password......***** your password
Upload Directory.....leave blank
Once you have saved Star Boulevard to a favorite key, all you need to do is click on the Javascript code or gif or even another persons page and then press the favorite key with Star Boulevard and the last page you were on will automatically be inserted on the first line at Star Boulevard. Then follow the above instructions. Once you have filled out the form, you will see a button, "Transload". Press this button and everything will be done for you.
If you uploaded the flashing blue background from our site, you will be told when the upload is complete.
We hope these instructions will help anyone having trouble learning to upload files.
We have selected some of the best of the Javascript codes from around the web. There are two password pages, the passwords are simple to figure out because we have given clues. One page makes every letter on your page a different color. The next has seven different backgrounds which pop up every second. The next is a blue flashing background. Another is a real time clock. If you want a clock on your page, Transload that file and add you writing or midi's or gifs and you have a page with a clock. We have placed instructions for were to insert your writing and gifs on each page. You will see this only when you edit the page.
There is one other important point to discuss. Once you have transloaded a Javascript page and you edit it with your own writing, do not "Preview" the page. Save it, then view it. If it is not the way you want it to look, edit it again. If you "Preview" one of these pages, it will disable the Javascript and it will no longer function. If this happens, discard it and transload it from our site again.
All of this may seem like a lot of trouble, but so many people have asked us how to have some of those "Cool Javascripts" for Webtv users. If we find a simpler way we will show it.
Lately, When WebTV has been going to the page you request, it omits the title in the status bar. This also causes some Java Script pages not to function. If you click onto our site, or any site for that matter, and there is no title in the status bar, "RELOAD" the page. If you click onto one of our Java Script pages and you do not see "YOUR TITLE HERE" in the status bar, "RELOAD" the page or else the Java Script may not function. If you have your own Chat Room, and you go to it and there is a blank page, ckeck the status bar and "RELOAD"! This phenomenon seems to be occuring more & more lately & seems to be limited to WebTV.
