Tips on Self-defense

TAEKWONDO
Basics:

Cha-Ryut(Attention)-Feet together,arms to your side.

Kyung Nea(Bow)-Bend at the waist(Do a proper Bow! do not bob your head)

Jhoon Bee(Ready Stance)-Feet shoulder width apart, hands in fists in front of body, elbows bent just a little(this is the stance that you start with).

Shi Jak (Start)- this comand is given after you have been told what to do.

Ko Mahn(Stop/come back)- this tells you to come back to the ready stance.
Lets start with one Basic Stance More to come later!

Basic stance:Horse Stance- This is just like the name suggests,pick up your left foot and place it a little more than shoulder width apart, now bend your knees,keep your back straight,like your sitting in a chair.(Black Belts should be able to stay like this for a long time and balance a cup on their knee).This is great for Strengthing your legs.
