HOLLYWOOD (Variety) - Revolution Studios has purchased the pitch
The Lazy Private Eye as a starring vehicle for Matthew Perry,
the Friends star coming off the hit comedy The Whole Nine
Yards.
Paul Adee (Taz) will pen the script; the project was set up
by producers Adam Rifkin and Steve Bing under their Shangri-La
Entertainment banner.
In the action comedy, Perry will play the world's laziest private
detective, who's hired to find a woman who turns out to be an
ex-girlfriend, who broke his heart.
Perry's next big screen starring role will be in the Reginald
Hudlin-directed Servicing Sarah. Rifkin most recently
directed Detroit Rock City.
