Miglet's Ballet Lesson (con't)

by Arden Davidson (C) 1998

"The ones who can't accept you
for the things that make you, you
are not the kind of friends
whom you could ever claim as true.

"We ARE his friends!",
said Gobblit
with no laughter left inside.

"Then how come you did everything
you could to hurt my pride?"

"I guess we weren't considerate.
I guess we messed up big.
Would it make you feel much better
if I put on Kallie's wig?"

"Now you can laugh at me,
and laugh at Boppo's crooked face.

"I don't want to laugh at you guys,
I just want to have some grace."

"Then you will come back tomorrow?",
Kallie asked, her eyes aglow.

"I'll be here.
Till I learn to fly,
I've nowhere else to go."

So Miglet went back every day
and each time he got better.
Kallie helped him out so much,
he never would forget her.

despite what others say.
'Cause when you live free as a bird
your fears fly straight away.
