The six pieces entered the dimension of Earth-C, populated entirely by anthropomorphic funny animals, and gave a number of them powers. The animals banded together as the Zoo Crew and defeated Starro.

(Teen Titans III #30 (fb, BTS) - President Mallard Fillmore pressured the Zoo Crew into revealing their secret identities, but they refused. The team was driven underground, and later disbanded when Captain Carrot turned himself over to the authorities after killing Armordillo, who murdered Carrie Carrot.

(Teen Titans III #30, 31) -Little Cheese was murdered, and crumbs from a super-powered carrot were found at the scene, implicating Captain Carrot. The Zoo Crew reformed to find Cheese's murderer. American Eagle joined the Crew, and forced Captain Carrot out of retirement to clear his name. The Crew was led to Dark Alley, who was posing as Alley-Kat-Abra, and learned she's sold the Zoo Crew's secrets to president Fillmore. She killed Cheese to keep him quit after he found her out, and when Fastback learned what she did, and she sent him 100 years into the future. After Alley was arrested the Crew went into the future to rescue Fastback.
