History: (First Issue Special #8)-U.S. Air Force pilot Travis Morgan had lost his place in the world; his wife Rachel was killed in an automobile accident and he sent his daughter to live with her aunt Marie. Morgan served in the Vietnam War, and after returning home, he was sent by the Pentagon on a secret mission to photograph a new Soviet installation. He was discovered and fired upon. Although his plane was not destroyed, it was badly damaged, and he was eventually forced to parachute out over Alaska. He somehow descended through an inter-dimensional nexus between Earth’s Arctic and the otherdimensional realm of Skartaris. Upon arriving he rescued a princess Tara from a carnivorous dinosaur. He also aided her escape from the diabolical high priest Deimos. Tara taught Morgan her language and tutored him in swordsmanship.
