History: (Green Lantern I #34) - Unle Foney hosted "Foney Fairy Tales" on radio station OIC. He read the story of "The Goose That Laid the 24 Karat Omelet." An old couple waited for their goose to lay an egg for breakfast, and realized they'd struck it rich when she laid a golden egg. She seemed reluctant to lay more, so they called a bird doctor, who exercised the goose by swinging it around the room and taking it for a run at the end of a rope before feeding it his special Atomic Egg Layer Pill. After a small explosion she laid another egg, which the doctor took as payment. The old couple was out of luck when the goose, angered by the harsh treatment, flew away to get away from them.
