History: (DC Comics Presents #38) - Syryna was a tyrannical ruler in her home dimension of Elykarr. Rebel forces planted a bomb in her flying fortress, shunting her and her henchmen to Earth. This event ripped a hole in spacetime, and froze time on Earth. She needed to return home, and discovered Earth superheroes Flash and Superman, both of whom possessed superspeed and had been affected by the spacetime rip. She cast illusions to make each hero think the other was responsible for the time freeze, and when they fought she siphoned off part of their energy to power her ship. The heroes realized they’d been duped, and Syryna and her men appeared to them, telling them they were better off being left in the dark. Syryna used her illusions to capture them, and bind them to a machine to power her ship. The ship returned to Elykarr, but the heroes freed themselves and defeated Syryna, crushing her illusion-casting gem. The heroes handed her over to the rebel alliance to deal with as they sought fit.
