Powers: Sturm was a skilled warrior armed with a two-handed sword and a dagger, and protected by chain-mail armor.

History: (Dragonlance #1) - Sturem's father sent him away to save his life, and died in the process. Sturm spent five years discovering his legacy, finding his father's sword and armor, and learning that his father was a Knight of Solamnia, a group that had fallen out of favor, since some people blamed them for the Cataclysm when the old gods destroyed Krynn with flames. Sturm joined the order, fascinated with their code of honor and loyalty. En route to Solace he met Riva Silvercrown, and helped her fend off Hobgoblins. She was a daughter of a Knight of Solamnia, and off to her father's castle to bring tidings of war. The journey exhausted her, and he carried her to a monastery, but passed out when they arrived. He woke up to find himself tended to by the Clerical Order of Majere, and was angry that they'd placed his sword in their armory because they forbid weapons in the monastery. Sturm left, but Riva staid behind, hoping the clerics could teach her about the Medallion of Majere that she'd won in battle.

(Dragonlance #14 (fb)) - During the War of the Lance Raistlin accompanied Caramon Majere, Tanis Half-Elven, Goldmoon, Riverwind and Sturm Brightblade on a quest for the Dragon Orb. He used raw will and magic to tame the orb, which had devoured the souls of many a wizard, but then deserted his allies as they faced near-certain death.
