History: (L.E.G.I.O.N. ‘89 #1-4)-Stealth is from a planet with a matriarchal society, one that preached peace and harmony. Stealth, however, was an outcast because she was a mutant. She was held in captivity and tortured for 16 years before being given to the Alliance as a prisoner. Fellow inmate Vril Dox engineered a revolt, and in the confusion several prisoners, including Stealth, escaped. Stealth and the others were taken to Dox's homeworld Colu, where they overthrew the Computer Tyrants. After several more adventures Stealth and her companions formed the L.E.G.I.O.N.

(L.E.G.I.O.N. ‘89 #7-10, L.E.G.I.O.N. '91 #24, 25, 27, 28)-Once in a lifetime, the females of Stealth’s species go into heat, at which point they mate once then kill their lover. When her time came Stealth raped and killed Vril Dox, and after regaining her senses she remembered nothing of the incident. Vril Dox was successfully cloned, and was shocked to discover that he would be the father of Stealth’s baby. Stealth left the L.E.G.I.O.N. for a barren planetoid, to get away from Dox and give birth to her baby.

(LEGION '91 #28, 30-32)-After an inhumanly long and arduous labor Stealth gave birth to a son. She hid the boy inside the Motherbeast, an organic shelter living in deep-space. Stealth returned to active L.E.G.I.O.N. duty, but refused to let Dox know the location of their child.

(L.E.G.I.O.N. '93 #49, 50)-Stealth's son was kidnapped by Dox's nemesis Ig'nea. After a lengthy battle the child was saved, and Stealth agreed to raise the child alongside Dox. The boy was named Lyrl Dox, and would one day take complete control of L.E.G.I.O.N.

(R.E.B.E.L.S. #8) - Vril Dox suppressed Lyrl's dangerous intelligence, and Stealth suggested he live in the jungle to hone survival skills. Starro The Conqueror usurped the L.E.G.I.O.N. from Vril Dox, who responded by forming the R.E.B.E.L.S. to combat him. Starro tracked down former L.E.G.I.O.N. members, and sent droids to Vrool, where they killed Stealth and forced Lyrl to flee.

(R.E.B.E.L.S. #10-12) - Stealth was reanimated as a member of the Black Lantern Corps. She pursued Vril Dox and his R.E.B.E.L.S., and killed Limina, one of their enemies in the High Vanguard. She caught up with the R.E.B.E.L.S. when they got stuck in the middle of a battle between the Sinestro Corps and Black Lantern Harbinger, and Vril told her that even in death she was insufferable. When Sinestro Corps member Narok was killed by Harbinger his ring sought out the nearest being who could inspire great fear, and it chose Vril Dox, who found the newfound power exhilarating. Strange and comet brought the R.EB.E.L.S. to the planet Kandato, but Stealth and Harbinger pursued them, and during their battle a transmatter portal opened, the creation of Lyrl for Starro. Lyrl, Starro, and High Vanguard members that had become Black Lanterns after Stealth had slaughtered them poured through. Vril tried to remove Lyrl's Starro spore, but his son told him to get away, and asked Vril to save his master Starro, shocking his father. Lyrl said he would be referred to only as Brainiac 3, and Vril used his power ring to push the Black Lantern's Vril, and Starro back through the portal to Maltus. The ring demanded Vril go to Korugar to join the rest of the Corps, and when he refused the ring flew off his finger for insubordination. Vril told the R.E.B.E.L.S. he was tired of waiting for Starro to slip up, and it was time to take the fight to him. It was clear he was taking it personally that his son had chosen a monster over his flesh and blood. Starro battled the Black Lanterns for three days until Lyrl Dox lured them into his transmatter device, and sent them to an event horizon. Starro was angered at having his glorious fight interrupted, but he needed Lyrl to coordinate his troop movements with the High Vanguard decimated, and set his sights on Earth to test the mettle of that planet's heroes.
