Powers: Star was a skilled investigator with a keen mind. He was trained in the martial arts and wielded a ray-gun. Star often relied on his robotic secretary Ilda to get him out of scrapes he couldn't handle.

History: Star was a plucky P.I. whose first recorded case was in the year 2070. He never got paid much for his jobs, and he was notoriously bad at handling money, but he'd saved up enough to purchase Ilda, a robotic secretary. Illda often saved his bacon during cases, but he kept getting into hock, and had to repeatedly pawn her before he inevitably bought her back.

Star's reputation grew enough that he was being assigned cases by the National Science Center, the premiere law-enforcement agency of Earth.

(DC Comics Presents #33) - <2092> Star pawned Ilda again, only to get her back when Stella Sterling hired him to find out why the alien Corvans were trying to abduct her. Sterling’s bodyguard was the 20th century robot Automan, and Ilda developed an instant crush on him. Corvans attacked the company, but were fought off. Star took Sterling to his safe house, while Automan and Ilda investigated the Corvus Loga Import Co. of New City. Star poured drinks for Sterling and got personal with her, but Corvan criminals attacked again. Automan and Ilda came to their rescue, and the villains were handed over to the N.S.C. The Corvans weren’t actually after Sterling, they wanted Automan, who was composed of manganese;, rare in the 21st century, to construct a doomsday weapon. Head, leader of the Corvans was galactic enemy number one, and his capture netted Star a 250,000,000 reward. Star and Sterling opened up the Hawkins-Sterling Academy of Robot-Detection, with classes taught by Automan and Ilda, who’d life-paired.
