(Young Justice: Sins of Youth #1) - At Star-Spangled Kid’s insistence the JSA attended Young Justice’s Justice for All rally in Washington, as did Old Justice, the Titans and JLA. It was interrupted by Klarion, who magically de-aged and most of the heroes into children. Doiby Dickles pulled out an extraterrestrial aging gun to return the heroes to their proper age, but another of Klarion’s spells intercepted his shot. The result was that the younger heroes present like Star-Spangled Kid were aged to adulthood, but the other heroes remained children.

(Sins of Youth Secret Files #1) - The 20 something Starwoman tried to mediate a dispute between the de-aged JLA and JSA, but couldn't strop them from brawling for hours. (Young Justice: Sins of Youth #2) - Starwoman babysat the de-aged JLA and JSA until Doiby tried using his new raygun on the heroes affected by Klarion’s spell but it had no effect. Since the heroes’ ages were skewed by a combination of magic and science, they would need Klarion’s cooperation to undo the transformation. The heroes attacked Agenda’s headquarters in Alaska, where Superboy, Superman, Wonder Girl and Wonder Woman were being held hostage. The hq was defended by the Junior Injustice Society, but the heroes prevailed, forced the Agenda to flee, and freed the prisoners. They then forced Klarion to team with Doiby and return everyone to their proper age.

During the combat Star-Spangled Kid lost her temper and almost accidentally fried Starman with a cosmic blast. The team lectured her about being reckless and she stormed off. Kanto and a squad of Parademons attacked JSA hq. Kanto exposed Star-Spangled Kid to the living death, stealing her soul and leaving her body in a coma, and took the soul back to Apokolips. Martian Manhunter and the JSA went to Apokolips to reclaim the Kid’s soul, and allowed themselves to be captured by the Parademons while Manhunter found Kanto, bested him in combat and learned that Darkseid was using the Kid’s soul in the D.E.M., a technoorganic device that bonded with the Source Wall an used her soul to relay information back to him about the Source. Manhunter freed the JSA and Dr. Fate linked his soul with the Kid, allowing him to pull her from the Source and reunite her with her body.

The Kid got lucch, and when she returned she found his teammates missing, they were teleported away by Roulette to her House.

(JSA #29) - While Flash, Sentinel and Wildcat went off to deal with an army of Jokerized villains they left the Kid and J.J. Thunder at JSA hq, and made them promise to stay out of trouble. Kid and Thunder soon found a Jokerized Solomon Grundy on their doorstop, who had just beheaded the Statue of Liberty. Thunder saved the Kid’s life and destroyed Grundy, then had the Thunderbolt repair the Statue of Liberty. She rethought the way she’d treated him like a punk and a kid, and they shook hands in friendship.

The JSA used a device that disrupted the braincaps Humanite used to control the Thunderfront, leaving them unconscious but freed from Humanite’s mental domination. The JSA later defeated the Humanite, and the Kid and the JSA attended the funeral of Johnny Thunder, whose body gave out after he was freed from the Humanite’s control.

The JLA and JSA defeated Bedlam, but the attack was a ruse on the part of Johnny Sorrow to give him the opportunity to have Despero possess President Luthor, who was at the conference, and to have the Seven Deadly Sins possess members of the JLA and JSA. The possessed heroes destroyed JSA headquarters and incapacitated the unpossessed JLA and JSA members. The Kid was among the heroes banished to Fate’s Tower by the possessed Dr. Fate, but they escaped then freed a number of JLA and JSA members imprisoned in Limbo. (JSA All-Stars #1) -

(JSA #45) – Star-Spangled Kid and the JSA provided security for the trial of Kobra for terrorist acts, which was necessary because hundreds of Kobra cultists were swarming the district court building where Kobra was being tried. Under Kobra’s orders the cultists threatened to activate bombs implanted in their bodies, killing themselves. Rather than allow the bloodshed the judge and Director Bones of the D.E.O. agreed to let Kobra go free for the time being. Black Adam and Atom-Smasher were outraged, and both agreed Kobra should have been killed for his crimes then and there. Star-Spangled Kid and the rest of the JSA vehemently opposed their viewpoint, so the duo quit the team. “Dr. Fate” then removed his helmet and revealed he was really the JSA’s nemesis Mordru.

(JSA #46-51) - Mordru tore into the Kid and the JSA and Obsidian soon arrived to cause further chaos. Obsidian sucked the Star-Spangled Kid, Captain Marvel and Sentinel into the Shadowlands. The Kid and Marvel lost Sentinel in the Shadowlands, and Marvel was cut off from Shazam’s magic and transformed back to Billy Batson. The Kid was amazed to learn that Captain Marvel was actually the same age as her. They were caught in a part of the Shadowlands that Obsidian made into Sentinel’s personal nightmare, and after battling a shadow creature made to look like Sentinel’s deceased wife Thorn, they shared a moment and a kiss. They found Sentinel, who was nearly dead, in the company of the Shade. Billy thought that if they found Sentinel’s daughter Jade she could heal him by lending him some of her power. The Kid knew Shade walked the line between good and evil, but he’d help any original JSA member, so she ordered him to help them escape the Shadowlands. The Shade told her he was impressed with her bravado and believed she might have a bright future, then teleported them out of the Shadowlands. Billy and the Kid presented their case to Jade, but before she could help Sentinel, Obsidian attacked the heroes. Obsidian was defeated when Sentinel regained his Starheart and stripped Obsidian of his powers. The Kid and the JSA then battled Mordru, and Dr. Fate imprisoned Mordru in the Rock of Eternity with Shazam’s help.

(JSA #57, Hawkman IV #24, JSA #58, Hawkman IV #25)- Stargirl and the JSA traveled to Kahndaq in the Steel Eagle with the intention of taking the members of Black Adam’s superteam, their former allies, back home before Adam completely turned them into villains. Stargirl was particularly worried for her old crush Atom-Smasher. Black Adam destroyed the Steel Eagle, and the team was scattered across Kahndaq. Stargirl and the JSAers had to battle Adam’s teammates Eclipso (Alex Montez), Nemesis and Northwind. Atom-Smasher captured Stargirl and brought her to Black Adam’s palace. She was upset with Atom, asking if there was any of the man that welcomed her into the JSA still in him. Black Adam told Atom-Smasher to hold down the palace while Adam fought the JSA, and then Atom II revealed himself to Stargirl and Atom-Smasher. Atom-Smasher, agreeing with Atom that Blak Adam’d gone too far, helped Stargirl free Captain Marvel from captivity in Adam’s palace, then brokered a peace pact between his team and the JSA. The JSA promised not to interfere further in Kahndaq as long as Black Adam and his team remained within the country’s orders and didn’t try conquering any surrounding nations. Stargirl desperately wanted Atom-Smasher to go back to the U.S. with the JSA, but he chose to stay with Black Adam.

(JSA #59) - Captain Marvel broke up with Stargirl, telling her he cared about her but that their relationship couldn’t continue because the other JSAers didn’t approve, not realizing he was a teenager like Stargirl. (JSA #60-62) - Stargirl and some other JSAers accompanied a tour of school children through the JSA Museum. Afterwards Stargirl and the others responded to a crime scene, an unknown shooter had killed Dr. Mid-Nite’s assistant Ice Sickle. Flash went to the forensics lab to investigate the evidence, and Stargirl continued to tutor under him. She was not in much of a mood to spend time with Flash after his talk with Captain Marvel resulted in Marvel dumping her and quitting the JSA. The killer turned out to be Louis Snipe, one of the souls damned by Spectre Jim Corrigan that the Spirit King raised from the dead. Stargirl and the JSA fought the army of the dead, but knew it was the Spectre who had to return them to Hell. Spectre banished the undead army and destroyed the Spirit King.

(JSA #63, 64) - Sand’s astral self was trapped in the Dreaming, and had to be reunited with his body to restore him, so Dr. Fate sent Stargirl and other JSAers to the Dreaming. (JSA #68) - Stargirl spent all day fighting Solomon Grundy, then went home and crashed. When she woke up in the morning the Red Morgue, sent by Per Degaton, executed her family, and in turn she killed the Red Morgue. Rip Hunter appeared to her, telling her he needed her to help him stop Per Degaton from altering the present. Degaton was going to do something on October 30, 1951 and blame it on the disbanded Justice Society. As a result they would be tried for treason and the JSA would never again reform. Rip Hunter had gathered past and present JSAers and brought them back in time to convince the Justice Society to get back together to oppose Degaton. Stargirl didn’t want to work with Atom-Smasher on the case, calling him a murderer. She cooled off, but it was decided Atom-Smasher should stay far away from her.

The mysterious Starwoman freed Stargirl, and Stargirl broke out of the institution with Ted Knight in tow. Stargirl flew Ted to see the stars and convinced Ted his life would go on and he would get well. Stargirl and Starman met up with the rest of the reformed Justice Society and the time-traveling JSA at the Justice Society brownstone. Hourman informed them Per Degaton was going to assassinate the President. The Justice Society and JSA went to Washington to warn Truman that his life was in danger. Degaton and the Red Morgue attacked Washington, but the teams were ready for him. Starwoman appeared to Stargirl to inspire her, and Stargirl realized she was a grown-up future version of her sister Patricia. Degaton used a time-disc to speed up Atom’s metabolism and turn him into a nuclear bomb ready to go off. If he exploded millions would die, but J.J. Thunder and Johnny Thunder summoned the Thunderbolt to turn Atom back to normal. The heroes defeated Degaton, who fled into the timestream. The resulting time distortion caused the Justice Society members to forget their adventure with the JSA. After Degaton was defeated Rip Hunter ferried the JSA back to the present. Stargirl found that Degaton’s defeat undid the assassination of her family, and she embraced her loved ones.

(Green Lantern: Rebirth #4-6) - Ganthet summoned Stargirl and the JSA and a number of other heroes to battle Parallax, who’d completely taken over Hal Jordan. They weakened him enough for the Spectre to separate Hal from Parallax, allowing Hal’s soul to return to his body, resurrecting him. (JSA #73-75) - Atom-Smasher asked to be readmitted to the JSA so Stargirl and the JSA had a meeting and a vote on it. Once they’d voted, Atom-Smasher was already gone back to Khanaq. Captain Marvel told the JSA that Jean Loring/Eclipso and the Spectre-Force were attacking Khandaq, and their help was needed there. The heroes had little luck battling Eclipso and the Spectre, and Black Adam resented their presence and began fighting them. Stargirl asked Atom-Smasher why he’d abandoned the JSA a second time. He told her he could never go back to the JSA after the murders he’d committed. Spectre only stopped his attacks when Atom-Smasher told him he’d accept the Spectre’s judgment, and allowed the Spectre to stop his heart. Black Adam restarted his heart with his magic lightning, and the JSA took Atom back to America after warning Black Adam to stay far away from him in the future.

(JSA #76) - Stargirl watched the protestors outside JSA hq. They were protesting the JSA’s association with Atom-Smasher, who was on trial for breaking international law in invading Khandaq. (JSA #77) - Stargirl and the JSA had a meeting about their current lack of membership when Air-Wave, whose powers had overloaded, crashed into JSA hq. After recovering Air-Wave flew off to find where the transmissions were coming from that cause him to go haywire he was followed by Green Lantern I and Hal Jordan.

Nabu told them Spectre did something to Fate, but he didn’t know what. He opened a portal to the 5th Dimension so the JSA could rescue J.J. Thunder. Only Stargirl, Hourman and Terrific and Stargirl made it through before Mordru attacked the rest of the JSA, breaking Nabu’s concentration and sealing the portal. They found the 5th Dimension at war, with J.J. responsible for the chaos, and joined Shocko and Thunderbolt in their resistance of J.J. The JSAers allowed themselves to be captured by J.J.’s hounds with Thunderbolt ad Shocko hidden in liquid in Terrific’s mouth. As they approached J.J.’s throne Shocko couldn’t control himself and attacked. J.J. easily defeated the heroes and commanded Thunderbolt to kill them. Thunderbolt shook off J.J.’s commands an attacked him. The fight ended when Saradin separated Qwsp from J.J. and bound Qwsp to his service. The JSAers brought J.J. back to Earth, where he summoned the Thunderbolt to banish Mordru.

Black Adam was a god with nothing left to lose, and each punch he threw was intended to kill. His savagery was winning the day until Martian Manhunter reappeared and flooded his brain with his own loss, the death of the entire Martian species. Black Adam was distracted long enough for Captain Marvel to hurl a Shazam bolt at him. Theo Adam was powerless, and left with amnesia. He staggered away unnoticed from the end of WWIII.

(JSA #83-87) - <one year later> At Mr. Terrific’s insistence Stargirl returned to her studies, although she protested that she preferred being a superhero. Stargirl and the JSA had their first get-together in many months, and many of the members recounted recent encounters with the ghosts of loved ones. Gentleman Ghost appeared to the JSA and told them the ghosts they saw were his warning to them that they would all soon die by his hand. The Ghost attacked Stargirl while her mother gave her a driving lesson, but was driven away by Power Girl. When most of the JSA went to London to find the Ghost, he made one last attack on the JSA hq, but Stargirl and Ma Hunkle fought him off. An army of ghosts loyal to the Gentleman Ghost attacked JSA hq and leveled it, but Mr. Terrific learned that Wildcat was remotely descended from royalty and could destroy the Ghost, so he sent Stargirl, whom the ghosts could not hurt because she was pure, to England. She shared the news with Wildcat, who promptly ended the Gentleman Ghost’s existence.

Superboy bragged that once the sun rose on Earth he’d be at full power. Superboy was battered by Wonder Girl and Wonder Woman, who blamed him for Superboy’s death, as well as Supergirl and Power Girl, who blamed him for the death of the Superman of Earth-2. As the fight went against him, Superboy broke down in tears. He tried to wipe them away, saying that it was impossible for boys to cry, and then whining that no one ever thanked him for sacrificing his Earth to save the multiverse. The battle lasted until dawn, and he flew into the sunrise. As he achieved full power he declared himself the one, true Superman. The Guardians arrived with Sodam Yat, the new Ion, and pitted him against Superboy-Prime.
