History(Starfire II #1 (fb)) - Koriand'r and Komand'r were royalty in the House of Tamarus on the planet Tamaran. The Citadel invaded the planet, massacring the inhabitants, including the girl's parents. Komand'r, now queen, surrendered, and was put in place as a puppet ruler of Tamaran, while Kori was exiled. Kori was experimented on, and gained superpowers. She led a slave result, and made her way off-planet, ending up on Earth.

(Starfire II #1, 2) - Starfire arrived in Key West to start a new life, and met with sheriff Gomez, explaining her history and powers. She needed a job and a place to live, and for startup money she used some jewels she'd brought with her from space. Gomez and Starfire had some drinks together, and Gomez tried to explain the human concept of sarcasm and metaphor, which flew over Starfire's head. Two guys started a fight over Starfire, hoping to hook up with her, and she put an end to their dispute by firing a starbolt at them. Gomez found a trailer to rent, operated by Boone and his grandmother. Starfire thought Boone was beautiful, and kissed him, telling him she could learn language that way. Gomez reminded her she already knew English, but Starfire said she was hoping for more English. Hurricane Betty hit Key West, and Starfire brought those caught unaware, including Tina and her grandson Boone to a shelter at the local school. Sheriff Gomez asked for Starfire's help when her coast guard brother Sol went missing trying to bring back the one still boat on Key West's waters when the hurricane hit, and Starfire hoped Sol was as pretty as his sister. They drove the SWAT tank to weather the storm, but Starfire made Gomez pull over when she saw Tina's missing parrot Bertie. Starfire saved Sol from drowning, but lost her way in the storm, ending up in the Dry Tortugas. Sol asked some rangers to call for a ship back to Key West because Starfire had temporarily exhausted her powers. Back home Starfire found her trailer destroyed, and Stella offered to move her into an apartment over her garage as thanks for saving her idiot brother. Starfire spotted a giant footprint, and wondered what animal it could have come from.

(Starfire II #3, 4) - Starfire cleaned up the hurricane damage to her new dwelling, and was fascinated by the garden gnomes she found, she told Sol they resembled the extraterrestrial Peregot People, some of the universe's first great explorers. Starfire asked if he was upset at the idea of her living above the garage, and he said the apartment was filled with old unfulfilled dreams, and Starfire promised not to press him on it. After her first stab at grocery shopping Sheriff Gomez called in Starfire when a cruise ship crashed into the docks. They investigated, and found nothing but dead crew members. Gomez told Starfire to wait for her at the Blue Monkey diner, if something dangerous was aboard she'd feel responsible if Starfire got hurt, despite her insistence that she could take care of herself. Starfire was quite popular at the diner, with every man there buying her drinks. She asked the waitress why, and learned that it was initiation of a human mating ritual. A Chida monster burst into the restaurant, and the waitress revealed herself as the subterranean superhero Atlee, whom the monster was after. Starfire at Atlee moved the battle outside and decided to team up to fight it. The monster grew stronger the more energy was directed at it, so Atlee tossed the Chida to Starfire, who flew him far over the ocean, and began pounding him until he was of immeasurable size. The Chida tried to grab Starfire as he sank, but Starfire blasted his hand apart, and when he reached the ocean bottom he collapsed it, sinking deep into the earth. Starfire was intrigued with Atlee, and invited her over to go in her swimming pool sometime, and said she always preferred swimming naked. Gomez started freaking out.; within days Key West had seen more metahuman activity than it ever had in the entirety of her career. Starfire's solution was to give Gomez a big hug, which the sheriff wasn't keen on. Gomez asked the heroes if they could at least try to be low-key. Starfire went out for drinks, and met Boone and his girlfriend Vita. After explaining how she kissed Boone to learn English, and apologizing because she knew humans favored monogamy, Vita stormed off.

(Starfire II #5) - She met Soren Hook, and she clasped Hook's hand, seeing a vision of his past. Hook was a renowned doctor who had the ability to absorb his patients' cancer inside himself, but the cancer formed a tumor in his brain, and he went mad, killing another doctor. Starfire wanted to help him, but the unexplained vision made him run away. One of the eggs Starfire had in a pouch hatched, transforming into an energy being, and she awed at the experience. Starfire had to cover her rent, and Sol sent her to a job interview at an aquarium. She was unqualified, even though she was entranced with sea life, but the director was impressed with her passion and gave her a tour. One dolphin named Beth was faring poorly, so Starfire swam with her and kissed her to learn her language. Starfire told the director she'd been separated from her mate, and wanted to be released into the wild to find him. Her incredible performance landed her the job. After a raucous party Starfire returned home to find Hook waiting for her.

(Starfire II #6) - Starfire subdued Hook, but got more flashes of his past as she witnessed him losing control and killing people. Sol was alive and rushed to the hospital, and Sherriff Gomez took Hook into custody. Starfire thought Sol was one of the best men she'd met, and asked him out on a movie date when he was better. They ate at the hospital cafeteria, and Starfire discovered the wonder of pancakes. A nearby airport was on fire, and Starfire flew there, confronting alien bounty hunter Kragg Korn Kee, who'd been hired by Blackfire to find Starfire. Starfire defeated him, and didn't want the Citadel coming after her again, so after putting him in his starcraft's sleep tank she set it on auto-pilot to fly to another galaxy far from Tamaran.

(Starfire II #7, 8) - Starfire made quick friends with Beth the dolphin, and asked Sol why humans treated other species on Earth so porrly, but he said the answer would take all night. Starfire said they could skip their date and drink all night, and Sol wondered if she was as innocent as she acted. They went on a dinner cruise, and shared a kiss, but Sol was still torn up about the death of his ex-girlfriend Maria. Starfire understood his conflicted emotions, and said she wouldn't pressure him. Gunshots rang out on the boat, and Starfire found herself in her superhero uniform, courtesy of the energy being she'd hatched from an egg. Grayson was on the ship, and pursuing arms dealers. She was overjoyed that he was alive, and after he said please she helped him catch the dealers, who were jetting away in a boat. They had a trigger for a weapon that could level a city block, and Grayson didn't want it falling in the wrong hands. Starfire solved his problem by blasting it over his objections that his people wanted to study it. He promised he had not faked his death lightly, and had done it to protect his loved ones. Starfire was overcome by emotion and kissed him. The people expecting the trigger were watching Starfire and Grayson from a helicopter and called in a hit. Starfire's energy friend found them and crashed their ride, so the heroes got them medical attention. Grayson thought he should take to Starfire about their kiss, but she didn't understand what he meant when he said his life was complicated and he didn't want to lead her on. They had breakfast, and hitmen started following them. They easily defeated the goons, and Grayson got the name of their employees by kicking one of the men he shot. Starfire understood the necessity of what he was doing, but still disliked it. Grayson said he had to tie up the loose strings on the case, and they agreed to meet again under less chaotic circumstances. Starfire realized that with his mission to save the world he'd be in and out of her life, so she decided to stop looking at the past and embrace the moment. She invited Sol to her pool, told him not to worry about her ex, and kissed him. Her energy friend filled the pool with a brilliant light.

(Starfire II #9, 10) - The glowing orb revealed itself as Syl'Khee; Khees were native to Tamaran, and chose their owners. Starfire said he chose her and Sol both, but he'd have to take care of it while she was in Strata. The girls went to the Everglades to start their vacation by renting an air boat from Atlee's Stratan friend Billybob. Robbers showed up demanding the boat for themselves, and Stella was so angered at her vacation being interrupted that she beat them to a pulp. Billybob hinted for Atlee to be careful before they left the air boat to ride a protective bubble to Strata. They talked about how they were all heroes at heart, and Starfire said she might get fired from her job because she'd made up her mind to free Beth the dolphin. Atlee's family were waiting for her and shouted surprise. Starfire senses something wrong with Strata's light source before passing out. Atlee's former fiancée King Neala-Tok entered Strata, bent on conquering it. Starfire absorbed ambient light, and Strata overloaded her, but her body adjusted as Atlee and Gomez battled Neala-Tok. The recovered Starfire confronted the kind, telling him he'd be ruler of an empty kingdom if he continued his genocidal rampage, and he never thought past his own malevolence. She unleashed her full power, disintegrating Neala-Tok and his army. Starfire drifted into a coma, and Atlee's physician Aurla said it could take her 32 years to recover. Atlee's people had their rebirth ceremony, gathering friend and foe alike, and letting their essence float into the sun that powered Strata. Aurla's physician did not understand Tamaranian physiology, and Starfire was awake and ready to party.

(Starfire II #11) - The victory celebration honoring the girls as great heroes lasted for days. Starfire danced with subterranean architect Gink, while the small, fuzzy Choor asked Stella to come back to his place for some love. Atlee told her he was so insistent because his species only lived too days. Gomez drank too much, and had to be carried back to her room by Starfire, Atlee, and Choor. Starfire rubbed his head, causing him to reproduce by shooting out tiny furballs. Starfire wondered if she should help him raise them, but Atlee said they'd be full grown adults by the next day. The next day Atlee invited them into the emopool, a totally relaxing experience that let people get in touch with their true feelings. They had a lot of loving words to share, but Stella admitted she didn't want Starfire with her brother. He was still a wreck after losing Maria, and she thought being with Starfire meant it was inevitable that he'd get hurt physically and emotionally. She said it was easy for Starfire to deal with serial killers and extraterrestrial threats because she was a superhero, but Gomez and her family were mortal. Starfire appreciated the candor, and despite Stella's later objections, decided to move out of Sol's apartment and out of Key West. Time ran differently in Strata, so the few days they were gone translated to a week and a half on the surface. They arrived in time for Fantasy Fest, and Starfire decided to stick around for a bit longer.

The Titans split up to deal with three Gordanian military outposts, with Starfire and Troia easily took their military outpost. The Titans found out Starfire's lie and were angered with her. The Gordanians had taken Tempest hostage, so the Titans went to rescue him, but Tempest said he wasn't going anywhere, he was trying to negotiate peace between the races. Just then the main Gordanian army arrived on the planet, and the Titans were forced to surrender. Thanks to Tempests' diplomacy the Gordanians and Tamaranians agreed to become allies, but they refused to deal with their enemy Ryand'r. Starfire agreed to stay on Karna as leader of the Tamaranians. He tried to wipe them away, saying that it was impossible foir boys to cry, and then whining that no one ever thanked him for sacrificing his Earth to save the multiverse. Starfire enjoyed her time alone at the Bakers’ house by sunbathing nude, something they forbade her from doing, when she was attacked by one of Trigon’s demons. She reunited with Nightwing, Troia, Flash, Red Arrow, Beast Boy and Raven to investigate. The Titans saved Argent and a number of other former Titans from Trigon’’s horde, although they were adamant that they were not a team again. Cyborg was rebuilt, and wanted in on the case, to avenge the death of Power Boy. Raven contacted Trigon, and learned that although he had been decimated by demonic warfare he was still bent on destroying Earth, and he shared a secret with her, her brother would help him in his invasion. In an attempt to find Raven’s half-brother, Raven and the Titans tracked down Trigon’s other brides, only to find that they’d died years ago. Trigon’s three sons kept the Titans off balance by exposing them to the seven deadly sins, with Nightwing and Starfire once again falling in lust and sleeping with each other. When the brothers were ready they confronted the Titans. They attacked the Titans and used Raven to open up a portal to Trigon’s dimension. The battle went for Trigon’s children and they used Beast Boy’s Trigon seed, the smallest spark of which was still in him, to finish the portal. Raven used her own ability to tap into the seven deadly sins, which greatly sickened her, to overcome her brothers with greed. They stole Trigon’s last vestiges of power, and then retreated to learn how to manipulate their newfound magic. Raven was pleased at having tricked them. In his dilapidated state Trigon could not have given them much of a magical boost. The Titans agreed that they still saw each other as family, and decided to remain a loose group in order to spend more time with each other.

(Titans II #5, 6) - At Titan’s Tower Nightwing and Starfire met in the hot tub, discussing how the Titans was their only outlet to be themselves. They also discussed the Sons of Trigon nudging them to sleep together, and Nightwing had a hope they’d resume being lovers. Starfire told him she was tired of them cycling back and forth between lovers and friends, and asked if he unconditionally loved her, and wanted to be with her. Nightwing honestly answered no, and after she kissed him, she told him they had to stay just friends. Beast Boy told the Titans that the Sons of Trigon had taken Raven, and that she’d been recruited to her father’s cause. Troia told the Titans that Raven had always planned for the worst, and given her a Ramat Stone that could locate magic-users. Beast Boy wanted to know why Troia was chosen to keep Raven’s secrets, and she replied that in addition to being the most magically adept Titan, she’d also proved that she’d never judge Raven. The Titans concentrated on the stone and Raven, and were transported to Trigon’s dimension. They met the rest of the Sons of Trigon, Greed, Gluttony, and Sloth, and were defeated. Raven turned against her brothers, proclaiming herself Pride, the sin from which all others sprung. She wanted to rule the Earth, but with the Titans at her side, and began imbuing them with the powers of the Seven Deadly Sins. This activated the Ramat Stone, Raven had given it a sliver of her pure essence, and the Raven that was loyal to the Titans emerged and merged herself with her demonic counterpart and returned the team to Titan’s Tower. Raven was starting to feel more like herself, ut told the Titans that the Ramat Stone wouldn’t work twice, and that she might me evil to the core. She presented her teammates with a set of magic talismans capable of ending her life if she wet to the dark side, and demanded that they learn to master them if she was to be comfortable on the team. Titan’s Tower security was breached, and the team responded, only to find that Superboy’s clone Match had broken in. The villain revealed that he was Jericho, trapped inside Match’s body.

(Titans II #7-9) - Starfire and the Titans examined Match in hopes of freeing their friend. Cyborg isolated Jericho’s neuron patterns from Match, and prepared a radio-ectoplasmic pulse to free his astral form. Jericho then had Match run berserk and attack the Titans, claiming he couldn‘t control him. After battering the team, Cyborg used the ecltoplasmic pulse to separate them. Raven probed Jericho’s mind and realized he was up to no good, but before the team could respond Jericho vanished, possessing one of the Titans. The Titans went into lockdown to keep Jericho from escaping, and Cyborg went with protocol for just such a situation, each Titan would take a security clearance interview with the Titans computer. The Titans kept an updated log of secrets only they and the computer would know. The Titans shared their secrets with the computer, and Starfire admitted to it that she‘d killed enemies she told the Titans she had found dead. Everyone passed, so Cyborg decided to use the ectoplasmic pulse on the Titans, one at a time. Jericho revealed himself to Nightwing, and forced him to inject himself with an LSD compound that made his mind a battleground, enabling Jericho to overcome his will. He promised to reveal what he was planning to do, and why. The Titans used the ectoplasmic pulse on Cyborg and Red Arrow, and waited for them to recover before testing the rest of the team. Jericho made Nightwing feel his thoughts, and revealed that everyone he’d ever possessed had left their memories and a part of their mind in him. It was the vicious villains he’d had contact with, like Deathstroke, that were now making his decisions for him, and he begged for Nightwing to help him. The Titans contacted S.T.A.R. Labs and learned that before Jericho had come to them for help he’d possessed Green Lantern Hal Jordan and tried to kill the candidates for president. The Justice League were right outside of Titans’ headquarters, demanding that Jericho be released to them.

(Titans II #10) - Jericho panicked and jumped into Flash’s body and vibrated out of Titan headquarters, but he couldn’t evade the Justice League. The Titans joined the League in battling Jericho as he lept from body to body, until he ended up in Superman. Previously he would never have been able to enter Superman’s mind, but his power had grown immensely. He still wasn’t strong enough to take control of Superman, who expelled his astral form from his mind. Jericho’s astral form dissipated into the wind. The whole experience left Nightwing shaken, and he desperately wanted to find a way to help Jericho.

(Titans II #10) - Nightwing called a meeting with the Titans to announce his resignation from the team, saying he needed to spend more time with his family in Gotham.

(Titans II #11) - The Titans decided to take some time off from each other at Beast Boy’s suggestion. Starfire greeted the rising sun, a favorite activity of hers, and visited Cyborg, who refused to leave Titans Compound until he’d finished reviewing security files to figure out where Jericho had disappeared to. Troia went to upstate New York and talked to Starfire while indulging her love of photography, taking pictures of fireflies at sunset. Starfire admitted that she was glad Nightwing was gone after he made it clear he wasn’t in love with her. She couldn’t fault him for his feelings, but still felt betrayed.

(Titans II #12) - Cyborg recovered from the injuries Jericho caused him, and revealed to the Titans that Jericho had uploaded himself into his OS, and then proceeded to use him to rig Titans Tower and try and kill the Teen Titans before fleeing his body. Troia took charge, and told the Titans they had to find a way to help Jericho. They contacted the Teen Titans, but they had no leads on either Jericho or his sister Ravager. The Titans decided to ask for Vigilante for help, because he was after Jericho as well, even though Changeling balked at the idea of working with a killer. Cyborg knew Vigilante had surveillance equipment monitoring Titans Compound, so if he thought Jericho was inside Cyborg that could work as bait to lure him in. Cyborg staged a fight against the Titans right outside the Compound, and Vigilante soon arrived. Before Cyborg could explain the situation Vigilante blasted him in the head with one of his firearms.

(Vigilante III #5) - The Titans restrained Vigilante, and he assured them Cyborg was alive, he’d used an EMP gun to force out Jericho. The Titans rushed Cyborg to his repair chamber, and revealed that Jericho was gone, and they’d used Cyborg as bait to bring Vigilante to them. They unmasked him, and fingerprinted him, telling him his short career was over. Vigilante set off concussive bombs attached to his security cameras in Titans Compound to create a diversion and free himself. Before the Titans could find him, Jericho, possessing a police officer, contacted them and asked for help with a hostage crisis at Union Federal. They headed to the bank, and Vigilante contacted his techie J.J. to wipe the memory banks of the Titans computer system containing his fingerprints. He knew the Titans would still eventually realize he was Adrian Chase’s brother since they’d seen him unmasked. The Titans disarmed mobsters armed with experimental government weaponry at Federal, and realized they’d been baited in. Vigilante was close behind them, and spied Jericho, who set off explosives inside the bank, killing his hired thugs and a number of police officers. Vigilante attacked Jericho, but Jericho kept jumping bodies, and then threw a grenade, damaging Vigilante’s suit, and made his escape. Vigilante reflected that it was no skin off his teeth if Jericho succeeded or failed in his maniacal plans, he wasn’t trying to save the world, only himself. Jericho called up the Teen Titans aboard their wing plane to tell them he was going to kill the Titans and use them to do it. They kept him on the phone to trace his call, and this allowed him to infect the wing ‘s computer system with a worm that gave him control over it. Jericho flew the wing to NYC and used it to attack the Titans.

(Teen Titans III #70) - The Titans and Teen Titans managed to disable the T-Wing and crash it into the East River without anyone getting injured. Ravager was stowed away on the T-Wing, and old he Titans she waned o help them stop her brother without him getting killed. Jericho possessed Raven and spirited away his sister. He told her he was trying to kill he Titans, but only because of the voices in his head. He asked for her help, and she turned him down. Jericho was disappointed in her, he thought she would always be on his side, and pointed out that she was working with heroes associated with Vigilante, who was trying to kill him. He returned her to the Titans and fled to Time Square. The Titans spotted Vigilante, who was following them, and subdued him, though Ravager wanted to keep beating him for trying to kill Jericho. Vigilante promised to not kill Jericho if they promised that Jericho’s killing days were over.

(Titans II #13) - Jericho entered the Hamilton Grande, prepared for a slaughter. He announced that he had rigged explosives throughout the restaurant, and every wealthy patron was his hostage. Using a cellphone video, he recorded himself shooting the hotel manager in the head, and promised to kill a patron every two minutes, unless the Titans arrived to stop him. The Titans confronted Jericho, and tried to reason with him, but he as having none of it, telling them he’d succeed in killing them here his father failed, finally allowing him to overshadow his dad. He’d strapped explosives to his hostages, and held the trigger, guaranteeing that the Titans would die trying to save them. He offered Ravager a chance to escape, but she wasn’t abandoning her teammates. They tussled, and Jericho set off the detonator, and escaped. Newscrews filmed what appeared to be the dead Titans. Cyborg heard the broadcasts, and ripped off his life-support system, vowing to make Jericho pay.

(Vigilante III #6) - Raven had actually created the illusion of the Titans’ death, and Miss Martian disguised herself as Deathstroke to confront and confuse Jericho. The Titans reached out to Jericho, and Raven tried to enter his mind to heal him, but all she found was darkness. They defeated him, but Vigilante made his presence known, and drew his guns, saying Jericho would kill again if not stopped. Ravager reminded him of his promise, and he slipped away. He later ambushed Jericho’s police convoy, and cut out his eyes so he could never use his power again. The Titans realized too late what Vigilante was up to, and they found Jericho in the back of his transport, bleeding and babbling that he was cured.

(Titans II #16 (fb)) - <two weeks after Final Crisis> Bludhaven; Mr. Terrific collected Justifier helmets from around the world and asked Cyborg and Starfire to help him destroy them. Starfire was most eager, still furious over being made a slave to Anti-Life by the Justifiers.

(Titans II #16 (fb)) - Intergang got their hands on a number of Justifier helmets, so Mon-El called in the Titans to deal with them. The heroes prevailed, but Starfire lost control and went berserk, still upset that she had once again been made a slave thanks to the Justifiers.

(Titans II #14) - Starfire’s thoughts angered her, and in her sleep she blew a hole in the wall of her dorm at Titans Compound. She crankily explained what happened to her teammates, and stormed off.

(Titans II #16) - Vixen invited Starfire to be part of the JLofA, but she replied that she wasn’t sure she wanted to be part of any team. Starfire told Troia about her dream, she’d kissed Batman, who turned into Nightwing, then put on a Justifier helmet. Troia was trying to live her own life and recommended psychologist Dr. Claire Foster. Starfire wasn’t great at communicating her problems to Foster, but the doctor realized she was a mess. Starfire threw a hissy fit and walked out of Foster’s office, but returned minutes later. Foster realized that the times Starfire had been enslaved by Blackfire and the Justifiers made her furious. She had no life outside of the Titans, and despite her commitment to joy she was joyless because the love of her life had moved on. Starfire was shaken, no longer realizing what she was fighting for. She flew into space to clear her head, but still couldn’t find motivation for what she was and why she was a heroine.

(Titans II #17) - Troia went apartment hunting with Raven and Starfire, another way of distancing herself from the Titans.

(Titans II #18) - The Titans had a picnic, and although they acted as a family unit, Raven sensed their conflicts. Starfire wanted to stand on her own apart from the Titans.

(Titans II #20) -Starfire called Troia in an attempt to reconnect with her after she distanced herself from the Titans.

(Titans II #21, 22) - The Titans stopped Dark Nemesis from breaking into S.T.A.R. Labs. Troia took her frustration at Roy Harper being mutilated by Prometheus out on the villains, and had to be restrained. Cyborg scouted new Titans to replace the members that had left, and Starfire told him she'd been offered a spot in the Justice League. He told her she'd be foolish not to break into the big leagues, but she wanted to talk to Dick Grayson first. She didn't like the front Dick was putting on as the new Batman, and he admitted he was playing a role and couldn't hide his true self from her. She didn't make up her mind after talking to Dick, and returning to Titans Compound, she and Cyborg were attacked by Phobia. She played on Starfire's fear of being abandoned by the Titans, her adopted family. They fought past their fears and defeated Phobia. They joined the Teen Titans at Titans Tower for Hero's Day, a remembrance of their brothers and sisters in arms that died in combat. Starfire disliked her fear of being alone, and felt too dependant on the relationships she'd built, and considered leaving for the stars. Troia changed her mind when she came to her for comfort after visiting Roy in the hospital.

(Blackest Night: Titans #1-3) - During Hero's Day. Starfire questioned why Terra had a statue in Titans Tower, because she'd shamed herself by betraying the Teen Titans. Beast Boy argued that she could have redeemed herself, but Starfire disagreed. Beast Boy was upset, and went for a walk, where he met Terra, who told him she'd survived and embraced him. In truth she'd been resurrected as a zombie by the Black Lantern Corps, and wanted to rip out Beast Boy's heart. Titans Tower was leveled by Terra, and several more ex-Titan Black Lanterns joined the assault on the heroes. The Black Lanterns attacked Dove, but her lifeforce connection permanently destroyed them. The surviving Lanterns fled, and the Titans realized the war was far from over. Troia said they needed to get Dove on the front lines.

(R.E.B.E.L.S. #15, 16) - Starfire took a spacecraft back to the Vegan star-system for a homecoming, but it was attacked by pirates. Starfire defeated them, and they turned out to be Tamaraneans, and she was ashamed at what her people had been reduced to. She knew the Earth would never be her home again since Nightwing no longer loved her, and after seeing the ruins of her former planet that had been destroyed by the Psions she decided she had no home at all. Miraculously Tamaran seemed to reform in front of her eyes. She found the R.E.B.E.L.S. terraforming the planet, and instinctively attacked, but Adam Strange calmed her down, and revealed that Tamaran was still gone, but Vril Dox had teleported Rann to its old location and brought life back to the dead planet. Vril was rebuilding the L.E.G.I.O.N. to bring law and order to the Vegan system, whether or not the local planets wanted it. Starfire thought it sounded like a noble agenda, and joined Vril's team. She had a talk with Captain Comet that was interrupted when Rann was attacked by Blackfire's fleet. Her sister saw Rann displacing Tamaran as an affront and her sister as a traitor for joining Vril.

(R.E.B.E.L.S. #17) - The invasion of Rann was halted by GLs Altin Ad'ms and Gorius Karkum, and Blackfire wondered why the Corps was suddenly showing an interest in the Vegan system. Neither the Rannians nor the Tamaraneans appreciate the interference, and attacked the GLs. Adam Strange used a zeta-beam to teleport himself, the GLs and Blackfire into space. They said they could resolve their differences without outside help, and Blackfire agreed that she could talk to Adam if he was not directly working for Vril Dox. A Thanagarian warfleet interrupted their discussion. Vril Dox was aboard, having brokered a peace treaty between the Thanagarians and Rann. They no longer shared the same solar system, let alone the same planet, and those who blamed Rann for Thanagar's destruction were dead or deposed. They returned to Rann, and Vril offered the empty southern continent to Blackfire and her people as a new home. She admired the brilliant and ruthless egomaniac, seeing a lot of herself in him.

(R.E.B.E.L.S. #18) - Vril brought Brainiac to Colu as a prisoner, chest-thumping and playing to the media about being the man who brought a monster to justice. The R.E.B.E.L.S. watched from Rann, and argued the sincerity of his performance. Captain Comet returned to Earth for the first time in years, visiting the grave of his sister Edna, who'd died a few years after he'd left for space. He met Starfire aboard her ship, and they both felt like they were without a home. Comet barely recognized the Earth he remembered from 1955, and bemoaned that even Yankee stadium was gone. They made love, and it was clear comet was falling for her. She told him he comforted her, but she was still in love with Nightwing, and as a Tamaranean her love was eternal once given. On Colu Brainiac was placed in a thought-cell, dampening his intelligence, and Vril enjoyed gloating over him. Brainiac said he never thought much about Vril, not seeing his inferior intellect as a threat, and Vril demanded he acknowledge that he'd been defeated. Lyrl, who'd created Pulstar Stargrave, a Solaris class macroprocessor, attacked Colu, and told them Brainiac 3 was their new master. Brainiac broke from his restraints, said he acknowledged no heirs to share his knowledge or his name.

(R.E.B.E.L.S. #21) - Vril and Lyrl drove Brainiac from Colu, but the planet was left in ruins, and they clashed with the GLC, who wanted to arrest them for the damage.. Vril said he intended to rebuild Colu, so unless the GLC was up to the job they could forget about arresting him. He assured them Lobo would be in his safekeeping since he always paied his debts and Vril could help him with the bills he'd accumulated as archbishop of the triple-fish god. Vril was joined by his R.E.B.E.L.S., and said their name was apt because that's how the Guardians of the Universe viewed them. He said the L.E.G.I.O.N. used police by consent utilizing each planet's laws, but the Guardians sought justice using only their own capricious whims. Vril denied charges that Lyrl had invaded Colu, saying he was under the control of Pulsar Stargrave, and painted Stargrave as having always been Brainiac's pawn.

(R.E.B.E.L.S. #22) - Adam Strange called a meeting of the R.E.B.E.L.S. concerned with Vril's continuing anti-GLC rhetoric, and keeping the psychopaths Lyrl and Lobo around. Lobo didn't care about his opinion, and the others said Dox had shown he knew how to run a successful business. Vril was listening in, and when Strange told him he'd invited a GLC member to speak to him he welcomed it. Starfire signed up new client worlds, but was being followed by GL Gorius Karkum. The Psion felt kinship with her because she'd suffered at the hands of the Gordanians much like Psion females suffered at the hands of their males. Females were used as breeding stock, and she and Starfire killed a number of Psions before attempting to liberate the breeding nexus where females were kept prisoner. The Psions exploded the nexus rather than having that aspect of their culture revealed. Starfire returned to Vril in a rage, because he'd recently signed up the Psions as a client world, and said she'd kill him if he had any idea what they did to their women. Vril saw the rage in her eyes and quickly dropped the Psions as clients.

(R.E.B.E.L.S. #23) - Vril, Blackfire, Sardath and the R.E.B.E.L.S. welcomed Honor Lantern John Stewart to Rann, and after a public handshake and media coverage they went behind closed doors for negotiations. Their talk quickly broke down, with Stewart demanding he let the GLC do their job, and Vril claiming his rhetoric hadn't influenced the Vegan people to turn against the GLC and demands that they vacate their sector. The Citadelian Liberation Front announced that they had a singularity module, and were going to implode the Vegan sun unless the GLC left the Vegan system. Stewart suspected that Vril orchestrated the affair, but Vril said he had no proof. Stewart sent GL's Admos and Gorius to handle the situation, but after taking out the Gordanians they couldn't figure out how to defuse the module. Stewart said he had faith in them, and refused Vril's offer of L.E.G.I.O.N. assistance. Vril reminded Stewart that his arrogance destroyed the planet Xanshi, and stewart's temper started to flare. Stewart had called in Ganthet, Soranik Natu, and Kyle Rayner to back up his rookie Lanterns, but Gorius figured out how to destabilize the bomb, cracking its shell and causing an explosion, but preventing it from opening a black hole. Ganthet promoted the rookies to full GL status, and Vril was forced to maintain peace with the Corps, at least in public. Vril met with Lyrl, disappointed that the bomb he'd created that Vril secretly gave to the Citadelians was so easy to disarm. Lyrl responded that if he'd made it more complex the L.E.G.I.O.N. couldn't have cracked it either, and said that while he preferred being his father's secret weapon instead of being lobotomized again they were not friends.

(R.E.B.E.L.S. #25) - Smite and Astrild kidnapped Dox after Smite buried a battleaxe in Tribulus' skull, grievously wounding him. Starro showed off his new army of mindslave Psions to Dox, as well as the cloned Czarnians the Psions created. Vril knew that if he could strike with them he would have already, correctly deducing that the clones of Lobo would kill themselves before being made into Starro mindslaves. Starro made Vril into a mindslave as his punishment for defying the conqueror. On Rann Adam Strange gave Lyrl Dox the job of trying to patch up Tribulus, and when Lobo went off after Starro half-cocked, the other R.E.B.E.L.S. were able to follow him using Wildstar's tracking ability. On the Psion Homeworld Astrild was eager to face Lobo in combat, but he put a quick end to things by putting his hook and chain through her head.

(R.E.B.E.L.S. #27, 28) - Lyrl rebooted Tribulus' brain, boosting his psionic lightning power. He called the R.E.B.E.L.S. and said they were needed back on Rann to deal with the invasion of Starros, so Adam Strange used his personal zeta-beam to return himself, Captain Comet and Starfire. Starro, with Vril at his side, declared himself ruler of Rann, and told Blackfire to kneel before him. She said she knelt before no man, and engaged him in battle, soon aided by the returning R.E.B.E.L.S. Lobo continued his fight against Smite on the Psion homeworld, and they recounted tales of gruesome mutilation and murder as they clashed. Lobo found him interesting, so when their fight carried them into a Psion bar they decided to talk things over, becoming fast friends. Lyrl sent Tribulus against the Starros, and he freed mindslave after mindslave by roasting their starfish. Blackfire told Starfire that if they didn't make it she wanted her to know she never stopped hating her. Lyrl sent Tribulus against Starro, badly wounding his alien and freeing Vril. Realizing he was near defeat Starro prepared to order his remaining slaves on Rann to commit suicide. On the Psion homeworld the R.E.B.E.L.S. used Starro's transmatter portal, and called Dox, telling him to push Starro though. Back on the Psion homeworld Starro found himself face to face with Smite and Lobo. One week later Sardath, Blackfire and Vril signed a mutual defense pact. Blackfire told Vril not to get kidnapped again, because she didn't want people thinking her consort was weak. Ciji reported that Oa had gone black and Vril said it was a good thing the L.E.G.I.O.N. was back.

(Titans II #38) - Starfire and the rest of the superhero community attended the funeral of Atom Ryan Choi.
