History: (DC One Million #2 (BTS), 3, JLA #1,000,000) - From the 853rd century Solaris sent the Hourman Virus into the 21st century, and it caused machines to go haywire and turned humanity ultra-aggressive. The time-traveling Justice Legion A recognized the virus as a program seeking a system. The Legion knew the only way to stop Solaris’ Hourman virus was to be the ones who created Solaris. Using tech from the Batdcave and Cadmus they created the solar core, and traveled to the JLA Watchtower to power it using a time engine created by Steel in hopes of recovering the JLA from the 853rd Century. The JLA battled the Legion, assuming they were under control of the Hourman virus, but when explanations were made they teamed up to complete Solaris’ construction. The virus left Earth to create Solaris’ A.I. Starman regretted his betrayal of the Justice Legion when he met Ted Knight, the original Starman. To redeem himself he stopped the newly constructed Solaris from destroying Earth by opening up a black hole in its computer brain. Starman reflected that he might be remembered as a villain, but that his actions led to the creation of Solaris in the past, and thus his own present. He then activated the self-destruct mechanism in his suit, killing himself.

(DC One Million #1 (fb, BTS), 4 (fb, BTS)) - Solaris was one of the greatest enemies of the Superman dynasty, an entity of pure power and hatred. He killed a number of Supermen and Justice Leagues, but was inevitably defeated. The Superman of the 505th Century reversed his programming and made him serve society.

(DC One Million #1, 4) - <85,271 AD> Vandal Savage and Solaris trapped Justice Legion A in the past and brought the JLA to their era to die. Solaris was assisted by Starman, who he’d convinced to betray his teammates, and infect Hourman with a program disguised as a virus.  Solaris wanted Superman Prime to see his oldest friends perish before he ended the Superman Dynasty forever. The Hourman Virus was actually Solaris’ A.I. and would lead to his creation in the past.

(Martian Manhunter II #1,000,000) - Solaris defeated Green Lantern, sending his unconscious body hurtling towards Mars.

(DC One Million #4) - <85,271 AD> Vandal Savage recovered the Knight Fragment, supposedly the last remaining kryptonite in the universe, fulfilling his bargain with Solaris. Solaris went on a planetary rampage, decimating a number of planets, and killing hundreds of Justice Legionnaires. Green Lantern Kyle Rayner destroyed Solaris by causing him to go supernova, but as Solaris was destroyed he shot the Knight Fragment at the supersun. Solaris never knew the Fragment was a GL power ring, not kryptonite.
