Powers: Despite his impressive battle armor, the only power it seems to give him his superhuman strength and invulnerability. Shockwave has little in the way of tactical fighting skills, mainly relying on brute force.History: (Blue Devil #2, 3)-Shockwave enjoyed a brief career as a strongarm man for organized crime on the West Coast. He invaded S.T.A.R. laboratories on a mission from Metallo, but was defeated by the Blue Devil.
Determined to gain revenge, he sought to disrupt the premiere of the Blue Devil movie in L.A., but was again beaten.
(Booster Gold #11, 12)-The criminal organization known as the 1000 broke him out of jail to combat Booster Gold. He failed once again, and was detained in Metropolis.
(Action Comics #654, Adventures of Superman #467)-While being transferred to California, Shockwave escaped and made contact with the Intergang. They hired him to act as muscle for their agent Chiller in the kidnapping of Daily Planet columnist Catherine Grant. Superman II appeared, and Shockwave panicked, accidentally bringing an entire building down on his own head.
(Titans #23) - Shockwave was employed to kill mayoral candidate James Hall, but failed due to the interference of Troia and Epsilon. Shockwave reported his failure to his bosses, and they told him he'd have to be disciplined.
