History: (Shazam! I #3) - Shagg Nasty was a magician who got kicked out of wizard school, so his spells only worked on children and teenagers. He frequently visited the WHIZ radio station demanding they give him his own show and make him a star, but he was turned down every time. In frustration and anger he confronted the station manager Sterling Morris outside the WHIZ building and turned a passing newsboy, Freddy Freeman, to stone, as a sample of his power. He bluffed, saying he'd do the same to Sterling unless he gave him a contract. Billy Batson saw the confrontation, and turned into his superhero identity of Captain Marvel to stop Nasty. Unfortunately Billy had recently been playing with the timestream to make himself an adult, so his Captain Marvel identity was now a teen, and Nasty cast a spell that wrecked havoc on his ability to fly. Marvel crashed into the WHIZ building, but after he recovered he turned into Billy Batson, and confronted Shagg, who was terrified of the imposing adult Billy because he couldn't bluff using his spells against him. Billy forced him to turn Freddy back to normal, and drove Nasty off, telling him he never wanted to see him around the WHIZ station again.
