Powers: Shadower was a psychic parasite, he could enter the minds and nervous systems of anyone within one hundred yards. While psychically attached to a person he could read their thoughts and see and hear what they heard. Anyone psychically attached to him felt what he felt, and any injuries he suffered would affect those attached to him as well.

History: (JSA #40) - An unnamed boy was the grandson of the incarcerated villain the Shadower, and his parents terrified him by telling him that if he was bad the Shadower would get him. The Shadower established a psychic rapport with the boy and groomed him for years to be his successor. When the Shadower became deathly ill he coerced his grandson into becoming the new Shadower and told him what he had to do to save him. The new Shadower took Kenton Elementary School hostage and promised to execute the students unless Dr. Mid-Nite performed an operation that would save his grandfather's life. Mid-Nite tried, while his JSA teammates arrived at the school. Mid-Nite couldn't save the original Shadower's life, and his grandson was prepared to kill his hostages before Captain Marvel entered the school and made him listen to the school children tell him their future goals and ambitions. The new Shadower couldn't remember anything he wanted out of life, everything had been forced on him by his grandfather. He had a breakdown, let the hostages go, and turned himself over to the authorities.
