Powers: Sagutai was an immense robot possessing superhuman strength, durability and speed. Sagutai’s right had possessed retractable blades and the fingers of his left-hand could be activated as a flame-thrower.

History: (Forever People I #5) - Harry Sharp, manager of underground fighter Sonny Sumo, lucked into purchasing the deadly robot Sagutai for his fighter to battle. Sagutai assured Sonny that he was death incarnate, and nearly killed the brave warrior. Sonnys warrior spirit enabled him to pull out a victory, and Sharp de-activated Saugutai.

Sagutai’s origins were never clarified, but Harry Sharp definitively stated that he didn’t construct him. With Darkseid invading Earth, it seems likely that Sagutai was an Apokoliptian piece of technology either lost in combat or sold to Sharp. Comments?
