Powers: Like all members of his race Saarek was a telepath. As a Green Lantern, Saarek wielded a power ring fueled by willpower, and capable of doing almost anything he could imagine as long as it was recharged by hisr emerald power battery once every 24 hours. Examples of its' powers include flight, phasing, creating giant objects formed of energy, and force fields.

History: (Green Lantern / Sinestro Corps: Secret Files #1) - Saarek wanders the universe seeking out the secrets of death. He has not been to Oa for years, and kept in contact with the Guardians via telepathy. Saarek claimed to have telepathically contacted the dead, but most dismissed his claims as the ravings of a madman.
