History: (Flash Comics #71) - McWizzard stole a dinosaur egg for lunch, but the stairs to his cave were in poor repair, and they broke underneath him, causing him to drop his lunch. The landlord came looking for his rent, and Rockhead said he had something better for him, a new invention that would take people from upstairs to downstairs. Rockhead had the idea of an elevator in his head, but his execution left something to be desired. He carved a large wooden plank and used a vine to attach it to a winch, but during his demonstration when he tried to take his landlord from one floor to another the vine snapped and his stone age elevator came apart. His landlord was furious, but Rockhead said his only fault was being born too smart.

(Flash Comics #72) - Banker Gotrocks saw Rockhead using a tree as a catapult to launch stones in the air. He asked Rockhead if he was working on a secret weapon, but Rockhead said he’d invented a new means of communication. The rocks had messages written on them, and were launched into a receiving bin. Gotrocks said he wanted to do business with Rockhead, and had him set up a receiving bin at Gotrock’s stone age stock exchange, telling Rockhead to send him the latest stock information. Rockhead launched a rock with a message about coconut stock soaring, but aimed poorly, bouncing the rock off Gotrock’s head. One of the stock traders got hold of the rock, told the rest of the traders to sell, and they all cleaned up, except for Gotrocks, who took a major loss and sought out Rockhead to chase him around.

(Flash Comics #73) - Rockhead tried to hunt a brontosaurus, clambering up it’s neck when a hunter from a nearby cliff tried to club it and knocked Rockhead unconscious instead. The blow to the head gave Rockhead an idea for a new invention, a dinosaur catcher. He sawed trees two make two wooden jaws and placed them on a spring, which would snap shut on a dinosaur’s head when a rope attached to the spring was pulled. Rockhead had dreams of cornering the dinosaur meat market, and asked a buddy to be his assistant. Rockhead lured the brontosaurus to the trap, but his buddy sprang the trap too soon, catching Rockhead’s bottom. The dinosaur took a liking to Rockhead and started licking him.

(Flash Comics #74) - Rockhead invented a Stone Age car and had his investor Mister Gotrocks give it a spin, but they crashed into a tree, and Rockhead admitted he hadn’t invented brakes yet. Rockhead did some work and convinced Gotrocks to give him another chance. They drove down a hill and rockhead showed off his “brakes,” a boulder tied to the car that he’d toss down when they were ready to stop. When he tried to brake the car he accidentally tossed the boulder off the side of the cliff, wrecking the car, and Gotrockls was furious and wanted to give Rockhead a beating.

(Flash Comics #75) - Rockhead McWizzard saw Mr. Gotrocks getting his portrait done by an artist chiseling stone and wished he could get in on the artgame. After falling face first into a mastodon track Rockhead came up with an idea to take automatic picture. He placed his head in a box of wet earth, making an impression of his face. Gotrocks was impressed and wanted his picture taken, thinking as always of stealing Rockhead’s idea. Rockhead used clay instead of mud, and it dried too quickly, leaving Gotrocks heat trapped in a block of clay. Rockhead chiseled him free, but the furious Gotrocks tied him up so he could launch boulders at him.

(Flash Comics #76) - Rockhead joined a hunting party and showed off his latest invention, the Bird Buster, a hollow log attached to a bellows that fired rocks. The hunting party flushed out a bird, but something was jamming the Buster, so Rockhead climbed inside to clear it. The bird jumped on the bellows, launching Rockhead straight into the party’s cooking pot.

(Flash Comics #77) - Rockhead was tired of cleaning his clothes by dunking them in a stream and beating them with a rock, so he invented an automatic washing machine. He showed off his invention to Mister Gotrocks, but ended up shrinking his clothes and Gotrocks dunked him in his own invention.

(Flash Comics #78) - Rockhead caught a fish and was prepared to throw it in a cooking pot that had been on the flame too long. A blast of steam stripped the flesh from te fish’s bones and knocked him over, giving Rockhead a great idea. Rockhead told Mr. Gotrocks he was going to use steam power to run all sorts of machines and presented a coconut-cracker, with an axe connected to his cooking pot. He drilled some holes in the cooking pot to let steam escape and activate the axe, but there wasn’t enough force to crack the coconut. He plugged the holes to capture more steam and the pot blew up, sending him and Gotrocks flying. Gotrocks tried to brain him with a stone hammer, and Rockhead bemoaned being persecuted for being ahead of his time.

(Flash Comics #79) - Rockhead saw some fellow cavemen trudging square stones up a hill, and asked what they were doing. Th rocks were pages for a book they were bringing to an author that lived at the top of the hill, and Rockhead visited the author, promising a new invention that would make his and his workers lives easier. Rockhead invented a waterwheel to haul pages up the hill, but when he tried to place a stone page on it he got tangled up and battered by the waterwheel. The author laughed at him, and said he’d write about his exploits.

(Flash Comics #81) - Rockhead was riding in a dinosaur-driven chariot when the dinosaur broke loose and caused him to crash. Rockhead came up with the idea of a steedless vehicle and came up with a stoneage bicycle. He gave Mr. Gotrocks a spin on the bicycle, which broke in two in crashed. Rockhead said he had to make a few adjustments and showed Gotrocks his second version of the bicycle, but Gotrocks took it and bashed him over the head with it.

(Flash Comics #84) - Rockhead watched a musician play the drums and saw the money he was raking in decided to get in on the racket. He drilled holes in a drinking horn, making a stone-age saxophone, but his fellow cavemen hated it and threw rocks at him, driving him into the woods. Mr. Gotrocks thought about stealing Rockhead’s latest invention, but was scared off when Rockhead’s music attracted a tiger, his one and only fan.

(Green Lantern I #20) - Rockhead continued his quest for three square meals a day. He fished with his spear, but a buzzard stole his lunch. He was inspired to learn to fly, and built artificial wings oul of wood and animal hide. He crash landed into two fellow cavemen, who thought he was an unusual bird, and were determined to eat him. They realized their error, and gave him a kick for interrupting their pheasant hunt. Rockhead returned to spearfishing, and bemoaned that sometimes his genius was unappreciated.
