Powers: Rex Zorus had a dense, scaly hide, sharp claws and teeth and a tail. He possessed superhuman strength and durability and was a skilled hand-to-hand combatant.

History: (Kurt Busiek’s Astro City I (Image) #4) - The First Family were a team of adventurers composed of multiple generations of the Furst family and their ally Rex Zorus. Darcy Conroy was the head of the prestigious lawfirm Grant, Miller, Conroy, McConnell & Ingersol. After starting a relationship with Nick Furst they ended up getting engaged. Darcy gave a news interview in which she said she wasn’t worried about the First Family’s numerous enemies because she had a First Family brooch that could send out an emergency signal as needed. The Unholy Alliance, frequent foes of the First Family, assaulted Binderbeck Plaza, where Darcy’s lawfirm was located. The damage done to the plaza caused it to start collapsing, and Darcy and her co-workers were lucky to escape with their lives. Fortunately Darcy had already activated her emergency signal, and the First Family saved Marta and defeated the villains.
