History: (DMZ #12, 27) - DJ Random Fire became a fixture of Manhattan's DMZ and was interviewed by embedded reporter Matty Roth. He was lined up for his first headline show and dodged militia activity to get to the club where the owner told him he'd been bumped for the visiting DJ Grendel from Japan. All RF got was two complimentary drink tickets, and he grumbled to himself, attracting the attention of a fan named Ingrid. She pointed out militia members in the club she recognized as part of Trustwell, the corporation that was supposed to reconstruct the DMZ but also terrorized the populace. She told RF she needed him to gather information, and getting fired up with her words about doing something from the people he learned that Grendel was webcasting his performance and the militia were going to raid the club so the performance would go viral. RF hated the idea of a DJ using the DMZ without understanding their plight; he'd taken up the craft to bring happiness to the DMZ, and succeeded in warning the clubgoers to flee. Ingrid had a gun and fought back against the militia, but was blown up by a hand grenade.
(DMZ #64) - While the US bombed the DMZ to retake it Random Fire's debut single hit number 1 on the Japanese and French charts.
