Powers: Quakemaster used a power-charged jackhammer of his own design. It projected pulsing waves of energy capable of shattering concrete and simulating a minor earthquake. The jackhammer’s energy could also smash the bones of an opponent. Quakemaster was a poor fighter, but quite strong. For a brief time Quakemaster wore a battlesuit that boosted his strength and resistance to damage to superhuman levels.
History: (DC Special #28)-Robert Coleman was an architect in Gotham City whose reputation was irreparably damaged when an apartment complex he designed and built could not withstand the effects of a hurricane. Feeling he had been wrongly blamed, he took the guise of the Quakemaster and used a power-charged jackhammer to cause earthquakes in Gotham City. To his dismay the only buildings that collapsed were others he had built. He was captured by Batman II.
(Cancelled Comics Cavalcade #2)-Quakemaster briefly joined the Secret Society of Super-Villains and battled the Freedom Fighters.
(Hero Hotline #1)-Quakemaster designed a more powerful jackhammer as well as a battlesuit while in prison. Upon being released he discovered that a building was erected over one of his old hiding spots for loot. He attempted to dig it up, but ran afoul of the Hero Hotline. They defeated him, and his new battlesuit and jackhammer were destroyed in the battle.
(Justice League America #43, 44)-Quakemaster had been hanging around the Dark Side, a bar catering exclusively to super-villains. He met a reporter named Wally Tortolini, who he briefly lost his jackhammer to in a card game.
