Powers: Protector was a skilled gymnast and hand-to-hand combatant. He made it a point to never carry weapons.

History: Jason and his family watched helplessly as his cousin Ted became a drug addict and involved in criminal activities. Ted fealt his family had wronged him in the past, and refused to let them help him in any way, and distanced himself from them. Remembering that Ted used to be a superhero comic fan, Jason took on the costumed identity of the Protector to talk to him. After a series of mishaps he had to actually be a superhero to protect Ted from drug dealers that were out to exploit him. When the Protector's story broke, Nightwing awarded him honorary membership in the New Teen Titans for his bravery.
