Powers: Like all Olympian gods, Poseidon was extremely-long lived. Poseidon controlled the seas, and could cause earthquakes. He could appear as an immense merman or being of water.History: (Who’s Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe #17 ) - Posidon was one of the gods born to the Titans Rhea and Kronos. Poseidon and his siblings Zeus and Hades overthrew the Titans, and cast lots to determine how they would rule the Earth. Zeus drew the sky, Poseidon the sea, and Hades the underworld, with the land and Mount Olympus as common territory for them all. Poseidon was worshipped by the Greeks as god of the sea, and he became the patron god of the undersea kingdom Atlantis.
(52 / WWIII Part Two: The Valiant #1) - <Week 50, Day 4> The Geiss serum wore off, turning the residents of Sub Diego into air-breathers. Aquaman watched his subjects die around him, but didn't know what to do, so hen summoned Neptune and Poseidon, and told them if they had anything to do with the death of Sub Diego they'd answer to his superhero allies. They laughed at him, but acknowledged that they acknowledged his summons for their own schemes, and could raise Sub Diego to the surface. Aquaman offered the cursed bones of his severed hands, and they transformed him into the Dweller in the Depths, a magical being that was a chimera of various sea animals. He possessed arcane magic, but it was too strange and powerful for him to utilize.
